Trench Crusade: The Red Brigade Kickstarter

Westfalia finanzieren bei Kickstarter eine eigene Armee für Trench Crusade.

WHERE IT ALL STARTED

Like many, I have been a fan of Trench Crusade since the first time I saw Mike Franchina’s incredible illustrations, and as someone who happens to run a miniatures company, I asked Max, the head of our 3D sculpting, to make a concept mini for this setting. And oh boy, that’s just what he did.

This lad got a lot of love. In fact so much that I reached out to Tuomas, and we arranged to get a license for Westfalia that allowed us to work on an official range of Trench Crusade miniatures.

THE MINIATURES

We have more than 40 models on offer. Many of them are single piece sculpts, but we also have a wide selection of multi-part miniatures that will allow you to build the Red Brigade and New Antioch warbands of your choice.

THE TRENCH ZINE

This free PDF Zine includes an introduction to the Red Brigade with official lore and new rules written by Tuomas, an unofficial small campaign with new units and characters and an unofficial stealth game plug-in for the core Trench Crusade rules. Download the current version here.

PLEDGE LEVELS

Note: The currency in this Kickstarter is Canadian Dollars (CAD). For reference I also added US Dollars (USD), but your pledge will be charged in CAD. Currency conversion was done using Google.

There are 6 different tiers:

1. Custom Pledge Digital: This tier will get you an invitation to the Digital / STL pledge manager where you can pick and mix your favourite digital add-on’s from this Kickstarter.

2. Custom Pledge Physical: This tier will get you an invitation to the pledge manager where you can pick and mix your favourite Physical and Digital add-on’s from this Kickstarter. The postage for this tier will be automatically added to your pledge amount.

3. Warband Digital: This tier gets you a startrting force of the Red Brigade. A total of 8 minis including a Lieutenant, Mechanized Heavy Infantry with MG, a Trench Cleric, 2 Shock Troopers, and 3 Yeomen with Shotguns as Digital / STL miniatures.

4. Warband Physical: This tier gets you a startrting force of the Red Brigade. A total of 8 minis including a Lieutenant, Mechanized Heavy Infantry with MG, a Trench Cleric, 2 Shock Troopers, and 3 Yeomen with Shotguns as Pysical miniatures.

5. Red Brigade Digital: This tier gets you all the miniatures from the Red Brigade panel and unlocked stretch goals as Digital / STL miniatures. You will also gain access to the Digital / STL part of the pledge manager where you can choose digital add-on’s from this campaign.

6. Red Brigade Physical: This tier gets you all the miniatures from the Red Brigade panel and unlocked stretch goals as quality 3D prints. You will also gain access to the pledge manager where you can choose Physical and Digital add-on’s from this campaign. The postage for this tier will be automatically added to your pledge amount

Important: If you just want to follow along, then please choose the „Make a pledge without a reward“ tier. This will NOT get you an invitation to the pledge manager however.

STRETCH GOALS

We will unlock them as the campaign grows, many of them are already fully sculpted. All sculpted Stretch Goals will also be available as Add-On’s.

PRODUCTION AND FULFILLMENT

Strange Plastic:

Our friends at Strange Plastic are responsible for the production and the fulfilment of this campaign. They are located in the US.

Pledge Manager:

We’re using Backerkit, and we will send out surveys about 2 weeks after the KS campaign is over. The Pledge Manager and the the Pre-Order store will be open for 6 weeks. All the Add-On’s including single miniatures will be available then.

Fulfillment:

STL fulfillment: You’ll get supported and unsupported versions of the miniatures you were pledging for in the KS campaign and the Pledge manager. The STL’s will be made available about 6 weeks after the pledge manager is closed. Please make sure you’re using your MyMiniFactory account email. This will allow us to send the minis straight to your library.

Physical fulfillment: Strange Plastic aim to fulfill this campaign by June 2025. Fulfillment will start as soon as the pledge manager is closing. Physical Backers will receive their minis according to the backer number.

Postage:

Physical miniatures are being sent from the US. The rates are 10USD/15CAD for the US and 20USD/29CAD for the rest of the world.

Import Fees:

Import taxes vary widely even within the EU, so for the sake of everybody’s sanity, those fees have to be paid by the backers.
