Our Second Weekend Teaser for March… Sprue Layout for the ZiS-2 and ZiS-3 gun! When we started this project, it was designed as a single ZiS-3 plastic kit. After the drawing phase, we sent the project to mould-making. However, we found that there are many common features between the ZiS-2 and ZiS-3, so we decided to put the mould-making on hold and add the ZiS-2 to this project. With everything completed, we can now „officially“ send this project back to mould-making again!

The ZiS-2 M1943 is a Soviet 57mm anti-tank gun used during World War II between 1941 and 1945, as well as during the Vietnam War. A total of 10,016 units were built. In contrast, the ZiS-3 M1942 is a 76mm divisional gun used in both World War II and the Vietnam War; over 103,000 units were built between 1941 and 1945.
