Bretonnian nobles are as hardcore as they come, regularly venturing out on quests to seek enlightenment from the Lady of the Lake, or slay many-toothed monsters, when they could be wining and dining in their opulent castles. Lords and ladies are raised to protect the weak from all manner of horrors, and as far as threats to peaceful peasants go, a giant dragon is pretty high up the list of things to call the local baron for.

Luckily for the people of Bretonnia, Sir Cecil Gastonne has a bit of a knack for felling monstrous beasts.

Sir Cecil may look like his fellow lords, but behind his crisply moustachioed mien lies the heart of a stone-cold monster-killer. He earned the soubriquet ‘the Wyrm Slayer’ after a particularly legendary victory over Norndrak the Tyrant – a real name to run away from – and like all good warriors, fashioned his fallen foe into a dashing scale cloak.

The Dragonhide Cloak is more than just a fashion statement. It confers the durability of its former owner on Gastonne in battle, protecting him from fire and armour-piercing attacks while his magic axe, Sorrow’s End, hews through monstrous creatures and cavalry like saplings. Such is his prowess that tales of his deeds have reached the far corners of the Old World, and the sight of the Wyrm Slayer in action is enough to send terror down the staunchest of spines.

His exploits on and off the battlefield have made Sir Cecil a much-loved figure across his homeland and, as he prefers to fight on his own two feet, he’s a spectacular character to lead regiments of Foot Knights while your horseback lords charge around.
