Cobramode Miniatures: April Patreon
Cobramode Miniatures haben im April wieder ein STL-Paket für Patreons zusammengestellt.
Here’s this month’s lore:
Drakthor – Dinovian Explorer
Dinovians are prolific across the Realms, having been some of the first mortal creatures able to pass between them due to their history and the god they worship. But the full extent of the Realms has still not been explored, and regular expeditions are made to find the new and uncharted. Drakthor is an experienced leader of such expeditions, and prides himself on his skills as a commander, dignitary, and problem solver. A dangerous and uncertain business, his expeditions have not always gone as planned; but he’s always made it back to Pangaea with the majority of his team intact, something not all explorers can claim.
Theranor – Dinovian Navigator
The Navigators play an important role in the many caravans and expeditions sent out by the Dinovians each year. Using their magical astropathing abilities, they map the various gates linking each Barrow Realm to each other and keep track of the route they’ve already taken. Though this seems simple, the gate forms and locations can change (as is the case with the Stygian Apertures), as well as collapse, with new, different gates opening in their place. Theranor has navigated hundreds of expeditions, some spanning several years, and is considered one of the best in the business.
Gralix, Karnith, & Skalgar – Dinovian Soldiers
On official expeditions sent out by the Dinovian Federation, military personnel are sent as the main protective force. Better trained and equipped than mercenaries, the Federation army soldiers are skilled and experienced as a mobile fighting force. Gralix has commanded many such expeditions alongside Drakthor, with his faithful lieutenants Karnith and Skalgar. Armed with the finest Kinetospires with maximum stopping power, they are prepared to protect against even the largest foes they might encounter in the Barrow Realms.
Realm Gate
When exploring Barrow Realms, Dinovians construct realm gates at either end in order to stabilize the connection between two realms. Connections are often fleeting, moving, or otherwise temporary in nature, and can be difficult to track if not tethered to a physical structure. Dinovian gate infrastructure can be found throughout the realms, in varying states of repair depending on when the last excursion or caravan passed by. Some are quite ancient, due to the Dinovians’ long history of inter-realm exploration. Curiously, this was an already existing gate in the realm of the Zephyrians, but was unpowered and not connected to another realm. The Dinovians have repurposed it for their own connection, but who were the original builders?
Zephyrians
Encountered during one of the Dinovian expeditions to uncharted Barrow Realms, the Zephyrians are a society of flying primates living in the extensive jungle ruins of a long-dead city. Extremely hostile to outsiders, not much is known about the Zephyrians, whom the Dinovians simply refer to as Flying Monkeys. It seems clear that they are not the original inhabitants of the ruins based on archaeological study, but Dinovian scientists are unsure whether they caused the collapse of this ancient urban center, or merely capitalized on the empty infrastructure.
