AntiMatter Games: DeepWars 3.0 Previews
AntiMatter Games arbeiten an einer neuen Edition von DeepWars, dem Unterwasser-Skirmisher und zeigen auf Facebook erste Previews dazu.
We have been working on updating the DeepWars rules to the new 3.0 version, which is used in Sunken Citadel and Abyssal Doom. This new rules version is simplified to be easier to play, removing the mechanic to switch play to the opponent when failing activation and some of the technical rules for physical activities. There are clearer explanations with new diagrams with examples, making it easier to teach people to play. There will be an option to play with the older rules of switching sides on failed activation, but not in the 2-player starter games. Those rules were just too punishing for new players, especially when the games have a limited number of turnsWe hope to have all of the rulebooks updated in the next few months, and we are in the process of updating profile cards as well.
The new card design for DeepWars 3.0 has larger fonts and all stats on the front and descriptions of abilities and effects on the back. We are working on updating all cards to this new design. Wild Creatures have their AI routines shown on the back, as well.
