Void Scar Miniatures: Xeraak Mechs
Von Void Scar kommen neue Mechs.
Next up we’re talking about the eye-catching new Harvester mech variants the Xeraak Triarchy have at their disposal.
Harvester Combat MechsThese massive cyborgs‘ primary purpose is to provide mobile firepower support as the Xeraak Triarchy advances across the battlefield. In each arm is an unusual weapon in the form of the Plasma Destroyer, which act quite differently to many of the other Xeraak Triarchy weapons seen so far. They act by launching orbs of crackling plasma into the midst of their foe, which then detonate into arcing filaments, jumping from one person to the other. This is reflected in the rules by them causing Critical Damage to Infantry, plus a similar rule to Kinetic Energy rounds where the arcs of energy run through the hull of a vehicle, allowing them to change their Damage value to the Enclosed value of the target. Not only that, but due to the advanced sensors systems (their ‚head‘) they can reroll failed Discipline attempts to React, plus have a slightly better Discipline value to other cyborg units, making them ideal for assaulting enemy positions too.Harvester Shield MechsThese guys surely steal the show with their unique transparent shields, which are actually called Plasma Deflectors. The purpose of the these guys is to protect other units behind them, as the shield itself is designed to ‚distract‘ the foe and disrupt their targeting capabilities. In-game this means that enemy’s must reroll successful Block tests to bypass Harvester Shield Mechs. Not only that, but the Plasma Deflectors are capable of absorbing low-powered hits; when successful hits are allocated to them the Xeraak Triarchy player rolls a D4 – if it’s above the shot’s Damage value, it now counts a 0 – sheesh!Lastly, both have access to the funky new Spear Tip Ability to enable them to advance alongside friendly units too. What do you think? Do you prefer the more offensive orientated Combat Mech or the defensive Shield Mech?Next time we’ll be going over the fantastic new heavy walker ‚tanks‘ – swing by here on Friday to learn more!Void Scar Barn
Hmm.. ein dreibeiniger Läufer? Vielleicht nicht die beste Fortbewegungsmethode …
Und die sehen auch nicht „marsianisch“ genug aus um die drei Beine zu rechtfertigen 😉
