Victrix Medieval: Islamic infantry renders!
Here we have some more updated renders of the Islamic infantry set we have been working on.
These are primarily going to be infantry for use as Arab, Syrian and Abbasid and Fatamid Egyptians from the 10th to 13th centuries but can easily be used in earlier Arab conquest and early Caliphates armies as well as being used in Spain.
We have just finished the spearmen element of the set which also has other hand weapon options such as axes and swords. There are some command components such as standard bearer arms, trumpets and drums as Islamic troops liked a lot of noise to go into battle, and used drums to communicate orders.
Some archers are being worked on and they should be finished sculpting in the next couple of weeks. There will be spare bow arms so you will easily be able to use spearmen as archers and archers as spearmen so plenty of variety included.
There are a lot of head options in this set including turbans, helmets, hats and bare headed, reflecting the multi ethnic nature of Islamic armies.
There will be a variety of shield shapes and whole range of new Islamic shield and flag transfers coming from LBMS.
This will be a great 48 figure set, full of dynamism and variation and will make great opponents for Crusader and Byzantine armies.
Seeing as many of you are asking… the current expected release date for the Medieval Knights is around the end of May, or early June!
