Das Spiel wird Solo bzw. Kooperativ spielbar sein. Die Printversion ist für 14,99£, die digitale Version für 11,99£ vorbestellbar.
When Nightmares Come is a tabletop miniatures wargame about modern day monster hunting and occult investigations. Players will form a team of paranormal vigilantes; self-taught occult specialists and monster hunters who call themselves the Nightwatch. These self-appointed members of the ‚watch look to tackle the supernatural horrors and investigate the strange disturbances that plague their city.
The core of the game, using the Action Dice Pool with its multiple die types, is fast and bloody, with tiered enemies, flexible player classes, quick combat resolution, and straightforward mission objectives.
When Nightmares Come also contains a roleplaying element that allows for non-combat challenges and dramatic encounters. This system uses the same dice types as the core game’s Action Dice Pool and emphasizes quick resolutions. This narrative system adds a fresh dimension to the core miniatures experience, particularly in longer campaigns where the promise of different foes and new storylines encourages long-term playability.

Akte X…oder einfach das Szenario wechseln und der Name der Rose mit echten Dämonen?
Klingt extrem launig, da bin ich auch sehr in Versuchung
Nach allem, was man so lesen kann, scheinen die Regeln ja sehr nah an Todoroffs Spielen Nightwatch und Insurgent Earth zu sein. Die sind sehr launig, aber mir ist dabei auf Dauer die Kampagnenstruktur etwas zu generisch. Es wäre schön, wenn er hier ein wenig bei den großen Geschwistern im Bereich Solo-Spiele gelernt hat und narrativ etwas individuellere Szenarien entwickelt. Ich bin sehr gespannt und gekauft wird das Ding sowieso!
Mit Zona Alfa bin ich leider nie ganz warm geworden, weil es mir bisweilen etwas zu Do-it-yourself war, aber bei diesem Setting kann ich nicht widerstehen.
Ich mag ja die Spiele, die Osprey Publishing rausbringt….sind einige Perlen darunter (vor allem wenn man nicht hunderte von Seiten Regeln möchte).
Und auch dieses hier wird sicher den Weg zu mir finden.
Asks riesen Zona Alfa Fan, vor allem von Kontraband, des ja auch Coop ist, werde ich mir des auf jeden Fall holen..
Hoffe das ich da auch meine Kontraband Mitspieler für begeistern kann..
