The Röknauts‘ Saga Continues…Back in Space Year 2022 you helped to bring the Röknauts alive for the first time, delivering Rökthane Schiltron Toothcutter and his squad of Space Dwarfs to tabletops the world over! Now, racing to his aid are the Týrstorm Biker squadron.
The Röknauts look to you for aid once again, so they can reinforce their battlelines with the awesome new wargear and weapons, on two wheels and on foot.
I’ve got a deep passion for the science fiction concept of squat and indomitable warriors heading out into the stars with an arsenal of hi-tech weapons. I wanted to distill the essence of techno-fantasy metal mysticism into miniature form, and do it with an iconically 1990s twist.
Mini Focus: Týrstorm Biker Rökthane
Týrstorm squadrons are a staple in Röknaut task forces, fulfilling a number of roles from core battleline to special operations and reconnaissance. The Rökthanes that lead the units are selected for their initiative and ability to respond to rapidly evolving combat situations, and to choose appropriate tactics when they’re operating beyond the comms range of the Röknaut battlelines.
Týrstorm Rökthanes are supplied as highly detailed six-part resin cast kit, with a plastic 75x42mm oval base. Miniatures are supplied unpainted, and require assembly.Mini Focus: Týrstorm Biker Trooper
Röknaut bikes are manufactured with stocky chasses and low profiles. The main bulk of the vehicle is taken up with heavy-duty knotwork tyres, equally at home on icy mountains and chemical deserts. The front fairing features dual trunnion-mounted wyrmboltrs.
Týrstorm Troopers are each supplied as highly detailed six-part resin cast kit, with a plastic 75x42mm oval base. Miniatures are supplied unpainted, and requires assembly.What You Will Get
Pledging to this project (the „Röknauts Revolution“ pledge level) will get you a complete squad of three Týrstorm Bikers (one Rökthane and two Troopers) vacuum-cast in high quality resin. Supplied unpainted and unassembled.

The hardcore backers from 2022 didn’t just buy a single squad of Space Dwarf infantry – some bought multiple squads so they could field an entire force of Röknauts on the tabletop. So it only seemed only right to introduce more poses and weapon options to this project. Introducing Rökthane Charnock Echogeld and her Bedrök infantry squad.

Schade, jetzt habe ich die space Zwerge von mantic.
Die hier hätten mir besser gefallen.
Oft wird ja oldschool mit schlecht designten oder ausgeführten Modellen in Verbindung gebracht. Diese hier sind, in meinen Augen, super designet, toll produziert und die knallige und technisch sehr gute Bemalung in Verbindung mit Goblin Green Bases gibt mir einen blast from the past vom Feinsten.

Da fühle ich mich in die Zeit versetzt, als ich meinen ersten White Dwarf in der Hand hatte. Muss so Ausgabe 6 oder 7 gewesen sein. Wie die Zeit vergeht.
Ich war beim ersten Kickstarter schon dabei und auch hier habe ich wieder mitgemacht. Das Design finde ich grossartig und die Qualität der Figuren ist erstklassig.
Ich bin eigentlich niemand, der Reflex artig in jede „Retro-Falle“ tappt, aber das hier ist einfach so liebevoll gut gemacht, wow 🤩
Jedes einzelne Foto bringt mich gedanklich in meine wunderbare GW Anfangszeit zurück, welche damals mit dem deutschen WD Nr. 16 begann.
Ist es wahrscheinlich, dass diese minis irgendwann in den handel kommen? Oder kommt man nur über kickstarter dran? Ich befürchte letzteres 😐
Es gibt die auch so zu kaufen: https://ontosgames.co.uk/. Allerdings sind die Minis der ersten Welle dort gerade nicht verfügbar, Vielleicht, weil es sie aktuell wieder über die Kickstarter als Add-On gibt.

Die sehen echt klasse aus, reizt mich wirklich sehr. Aber preislich ein bisschen zu hoch für mein Budget (weswegen ich bei GWs Prince Ulthor dann doch auch gepasst habe). Schade eigentlich.
