Get Ready for Edge of the Radiance!
Situated near the nefarious cosmic anomaly called the Radiance, the remote Eternal Dynasty colony of Loung We is probably one of the worst assignments one can get. Captain Lyao has resigned himself to this exile and spends his time overseeing mushroom production and trying to maintain his facilities. Even some of his own soldiers have little faith in him, including Sergeant Wou, an eager Ninja fresh off training.
This life of austere boredom is about to be brutally interrupted. From the cold void of space emerges an Alien Hive ship. Led by Prime Warrior Druzhak and his advisor Vradhez, the Hivers are reeling from a series of disastrous battles. But Vradhez is convinced that here, on Loung-We, lies the key to their people’s survival.
Lyao must rally his motley subordinates to mount a defense, earning their respect in the process, while Druzhak seeks to ensure the survival of his people. Not all is as it seems, however, at the Edge of the Radiance…

Age of Fantasy World Book
We are happy to announce that we will be releasing the Age of Fantasy World Book in September! If you want to learn more about Tyria and the Age of Fantasy, this book will have you covered, giving you the information you need to explore and play in the setting. Some highlights of the information included are;
- An overview of Tyria’s history, including the Havoc Wars and creation of the Rift
- An introduction to Voidgates and the Planes beyond Tyria
- Key locations and conflicts in Tyria and beyond
- Introductions to the factions, with new accompanying artwork.
- Sections on magic, trade and technology in Tyria
- And much more!
Our goal is to establish the basics of the wider setting to give fans a sense of where their models belong, while also leaving space for them to explore it with their own heroes, armies and factions. We hope it will inspire you to add to our universe.
We hope our World Book will serve as inspiration for fans to do just that; giving a sense of possibilities for what can fit into this galactic sandbox that we’ve created!
Age of Fantasy: Quest Patch Notes
Last Friday we released another update to the Age of Fantasy: Quest Public BETA. In this update we’ve adjusted the games difficulty levels, modified combat stats for Cleric and Rogues, changed how Casters generate spell tokens, and more.
New Previews
At the top of post, you’ll see some early previews of the what we are working on for September!
In September the Shadow Stalkers Fang Swarms crawl out of every dark corner to overwhelm the enemy. Bogging enemies down so they have a harder time attacking. The Blind Behemoth is a dark angel from the labyrinth. Massive in size with anger to spare, this hulking creature is practically immune to magic while his great flail takes care of anything dealing in the physical realm.
The September Legendary is the Epic Titan Walker for the Blessed Sisters. This Titan Walker gets a holy makeover adding to its radiant splendor. It becomes draped with much more symbolic vestments including a halo to adorn its chassis and wings on its back to symbolize the angel of destruction that it is.
Please remember that these are early WIP shots of the models and not the final versions of the models.

Krass wir sich OPR so entwickelt hat in kurzer Zeit.

OPR ist ein echt gutes System. Einfach seine alten nicht mehr unterstützten Minis spielen zu können ist ein schönes Gefühl.
Der Einstieg ist unglaublich einfach, da die kostenlosen Regeln gut funktionieren und man schon für 5€ einmalig über Patreon alle Regeln zu allen Spilesystemen bekommt.
Ich mag es auch, dass die Regelkomplexität geringer ist als bei den GW Spielen. Wenn man dort nach langer Zeit wieder spielen will muss man sehr viele Regeln quasi neu lernen, inklusive Codes oder Battletome.
Wir spielen oft auch OPR mit GW Hintergrund, denn deren Welten kennt man ja dann doch am Besten.
Und Age of Fantasy Quest ist ein Rohdiamant. Es macht schon jetzt in der Betaphase richtig Spaß.
Und der Army Builder ist eine wahre Freude. Sie machen regeltechnisch so vieles richtig, was GW für Spieler wie mich falsch macht.
Ja, sehr gute Punkte. Ich denke auch dass sie stark von der aktuellen Technologie und genereller Zugänglichkeit profitieren.
Aber natürlich auch dass viele GW überdrüssig werden. Allerdings ohne gute Ideen und solider Arbeit würde OPR auch nicht so viele abholen.
Ich persönlich finde es besonders schön wie offen die Firmenmentalität ist für alternative Miniaturen und Anbieter.
Gibt es dazu auch Auserirdisch Modelle, wie im ersten Bild ..?

Ich finde es schön, dass opr immer mehr einen eigenen Stil entwickelt. Vielleicht nutze ich irgendwann ihre Minis für andere Spiele, denn leider kann ich die Faszination hinter diesen Regeln echt nicht verstehen.
Aber so sind Geschmäcker eben.
Ich finde OPR zu simpel. Jede Armee unterscheidet sich irgendwie nur durch die Anordnung und Mischung ihrer Sonderregeln. Fühlt sich leider sehr generisch an.
Ist eine vollkommen legitime Meinung. Ich hab mich aber immer gefragt ob man bei komplexeren Regeln im Endeffekt bei etwas vergleichbarem wie OPR landet, wenn man den fluff drumherum und „unnötigen“ Iterationen weglässt.
Oder anders gesagt\gefragt, wird die Unterscheidung von Armeen und das Spielgefühl durch Regelbalast\Detail suggeriert?
Ich habe gar nicht so viel Erfahrung mit OPR und will es gar nicht als das Optimale darstellen. Aber habe mir schon öfter die Fragen oben gestellt.
