Aus den Tiefen von Hive Secundus erheben sich immer neue Schrecken, darunter der Malstrain Alpha, der auch im Spiel seinen Gegnern das Fürchten lehren wird.

The Malstrain is a strange, corrupted version of a Genestealer infestation—the progeny of a Broodmind brought into being by the Tech-priest Biologis Hermiatus, which was brought to the brink of death by the esoteric weapons deployed to purge the infestation completely.
Deep in the ruins of Hive Secundus the horror of the Malstrain grew for years, and while the creatures that call this hellish abyss home are not your regular Genestealers, they are no less terrifying – just look at the Malstrain Coalescence. At the apex of this chain of abominations is the Malstrain Alpha, the purest embodiment of this twisted brood.
Rumours of the Malstrain Alpha have persisted for as long as explorers have braved the Underhells, and the running theory is that it is a direct descendent of the original Patriarch.
Few have ever seen the creature and lived to tell the tale. Despite its twisted appearance, it is a consummate hunter who views anything entering its domain as prey. It effortlessly stalks them as its unique biology allows it to morph and contort, slipping through too-small gaps to pursue its quarry and bursting out from vents to eviscerate its opponents.
It carries within it the Madness of the Malstrain, and anyone who attempts to face off against this monstrosity risks having their very psyche shattered.
Predictably, it is a much sought-after trophy among the Spyre Hunters, and scores of hunting parties have been slain by this unstoppable terror. Those few that survive their encounter bear their deep wounds with pride, and the Malstrain Alpha is second only to the elusive Patriarch itself as the ultimate prize within the Underhells.

Schade eigentlich, hier hätte ich mir mehr Mut zum neuen Mini gewünscht.
Ich denke aber dass der ein Forgeworld ist. Ob ich mir den in meine Sammlung holen werde?

Ich find diese ganzen neuen Genestealer und Kultisten aus Hive Secundus einfach FURCHTBAR.
Genestealer driften durchs All und sind dort (z.T. jahrhunderte lang) allerlei kosmischer Strahlung ausgesetzt und sie mutieren nicht.
Jetzt kriegen die paar Nukes auf den Kopp und schon fangen die an zu mutieren? Nee, bei aller Liebe nicht. Das ist m.E. totaler, hintergrundtechnischer Schwachsinn.
Es ist GW.
Der ganze Hintergrund ist super inkonsistent das das überhaupt nicht ins Gewicht Fallen sollte.
Das waren Grimdark Nukes, da kann Deine kosmische Strahlung einpacken 😉
Ungefilterte Narrativium Strahlung ist halt schlecht für den Fluff
Nukes auf den Kopf haben eine deutlich höhere Strahlungsdosis. Das ist wesentlich schädlicher fürs Erbgut als Langzeiteinwirkung im geringeren Bereich.
Wurde an denen nicht vorher schon rumexperimentiert? Vielleicht waren sie deshalb etwas „anfälliger“ für derartige Mutationen. Andererseits pasen sich dei Genestealer auf nicht-menschlichen Planeten auch der jeweiligen vorherrschenden Spezies an, sind als genetisch durchaus divers.
Achtung, Achtung! Xenobiologe anwesend!
Vielleicht bin ich auch nur enttäuscht, weil ich die Modelle hässlich finde…
Naja im Fluf wurde ja angekündigt das es vorher schon längere Zeit an dem Gen Erbgut getestet und gefuscht wurde.
Von daher würde mich das nicht stören.
Außerdem ist Necromunda ja auch ein Spiel in sich.
Ist ja auch ein Stützpunkt der Fist Legion.
Die werden aber auch nicht ins Spiel gebracht…

Also ehrlich gesagt, ich finde die klasse. Ne Armee in dem Stil würd ich nicht haben wollen aber in kleiner Menge bieten die richtig schön Fläche zum austoben.
