Mithril Miniatures: Januar 2024 Neuerscheinungen
Auch bei Mithril Miniatures geht es im Jahr 2024 mit neuen Modellen weiter, eine Variante der Fluchbrecher mit der Königin der Toten und dem Inhaber des Tänzelnden Ponys mit einem seiner Halbling Kellner.
Lord of the Rings ‚Queen of the dead‘ Resin figure – 21,00 Euro
Known as the oathbreakers or the Dead Men of Dunharrow, were humans cursed by Isildur for abandoning their oath to aid him in the War of the Last Alliance. Doomed to haunt the lands and caverns around Dwimorberg. They would never know peace until they fulfilled their oath. Aragorn recruited them and they finally succeeded in breaking their curse.
The concept for a queen was extrapolated from the Oathbreakers having a king by the Fellowship member responsible for submitted this idea.
Only 94 of these figures are produced at this time. This is the 202nd release in the Gold Status Fellowship club. This was the winning idea from February 2023 and was submitted by Fellowship member „ddaines„. This is the fourteenth fully resin figure, undercoated with matt grey primer. The figure is in one piece. The base has the manufacturer name MITHRIL, the sculptor’s name and creation date and MZ number on the sides of the base.
Lord of the Rings ‚Barliman and Nob‘ Resin vignette – 36,84 Euro
Barliman Butterbur was an innkeeper in the town of Bree in the Prancying Pony Inn. Nob was one of the two Hobbits that worked with him as a servant. Barliman had been charged with a task, by Gandalf the Grey, of delivering a letter to Hobbiton, to Frodo, but could not find anyone to deliver it, and eventually forgot about it. He eventually remembered after Frodo arrived.
He did buy Bill the Pony to compensate for the loss of Frodo’s ponies during the Nazgul raid on his Inn. Gandalf forgave him for forgetting to deliver the letter once he knew that Frodo had escaped safely.
Only 87 of these figures are produced at this time. This is the 203rd release in the Gold Status Fellowship club. This was the winning idea from September 2023 and was submitted by Fellowship member „Gildor„. This is the fifteenth fully resin release, undercoated with matt grey primer. The vignette comes in four pieces, the fireplace, the grate, Barliman and Nob figures. The base has the manufacturer name MITHRIL, the sculptor’s name and creation date and MZ number on the sides of the base.

Die eingesunkenen Füße die das sehr stimmungsvolle Diorama entstellt scheinen sich nicht auf die endgültige Miniatur zu übertragen. Es sieht so aus, als wäre es nur schlecht für die Produktpräsrntation zusammengeflickt.
