Hobday & Hicks: Neues Supplement für The Baron’s War

Unter dem Titel „Warhost“ soll im Januar eine Erweiterung für The Baron’s War erscheinen. Eine erste Preview teilt Spielautor Andy Hobday schon jetzt.

Warhost, a fantasy compendium

If you have played The Barons‘ War, you already have a head start, as the majority of the rules remain the same. There are also new rules, most notably Magic! You can’t have a fantasy game without it, and included here are rules for magic spells and magic items. In addition to magic, there are new rules for the different races. With Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, and the Dead to choose from alongside Humans, we have had the fun task of creating brand new warrior lists for each, along with new traits and abilities to provide each race with the individuality they deserve. These fantasy force lists are only the start, and there are big plans to expand further on what is included here in the near future.

The final section is devoted to the Battle for the Bylands. The three scenarios combine to create the first campaign in our fantasy setting. It is still early days, but we already have many ideas for the people who live here, their way of life, their armies, and their history. Paul Hicks and I want to explore more of this world, and we hope you will join us while we do so. Finally, the campaign has been written to complement the incredible range of miniatures Paul has sculpted, which is the start of our Hobday & Hicks range.

This is the beginning of a journey for this set of fantasy rules. We hope you will join us and share your feedback to help shape the future of Warhost.
