While all Chapters maintain a cadre of Apothecaries to treat wounds and recover gene-seed, the Sanguinary Priests of the Blood Angels have another duty – controlling the Red Thirst that grips all Sons of Sanguinius throughout their lives.

To embrace this intense and literal bloodthirst is seen as a mark of shame at all but the direst of moments, and only the Sanguinary Priests know the rituals and ceremonies required to calm their terrible hunger for carnage until it’s needed most.
When this madness is held in check, the Blood Angels are the picture of nobility and dignity. The Captains who lead the companies of Baal and their successors must be exemplars of the Emperor’s finest – blessed with astonishing combat skills and a regal countenance to humble planetary governors – and their new miniatures capture every bit of their carefully cultivated virtue.
The Captain wears distinctive sculpted armour, similar to that seen on Commander Dante himself, and can be equipped with a variety of weapons including the iconic inferno pistol, a relic blade, chainsword, or a power fist. Each arm also has two different poses, so you can pose them at the ready or in a more relaxed stance, and the kit includes a bevvy of heads, pauldron decorations, and other accessories.
Both characters will be released later this year, alongside the phenomenal new Codex Supplement and other upgraded Blood Angels.

Die Spieler haben sich halt schon alle ne Einheit gewünscht.
Sanguinische Garde wäre toll gewesen, Psi-nought in neuem Gewand ein feuchter Traum.
Zumindest ist der Apo nett und der Captain hat paar Optionen.
Der neue Blood Angels Captain in Plastik ist schon ziemlich gut – vor allem hat er ein paar Bauoptionen, was bei GW ja nicht immer selbstverständlich ist.
Der Sanguiniuspriester ist aber irgendwie weniger Blood Angels Like als noch sein Plastik First Born Vorgänger. Nett, aber bis auf den BA Schulterpanzer und den Kelch könnte das auch ein generischer Apo sein.
Eine Überarbeitung der Sanguinischen Garde würde ich übrigens noch nicht komplett ausschließen, dass GW in dem Previewtext ja noch von „other updated Blood Angels“ orakelt…
Vor allem von goldenen Updates.
Bin gespannt ob auch noch eine neue Einheit kommt, so wie bei den Dark Angels die Companions.
Der Prister ist richtig gelungen, aber der Captain ist super langweilig, dachte erst das ist mal wieder ein Lieutenant. btw. lang gab es keinen mehr davon
