GW: Auftragsfertigungen für Bretonen und Khemri
Kommenden Samstag gibt es von Games Workshop mal wieder die Gelegenheit, ein paar klassische Miniaturen als Auftragsfertigung zu erwerben, dieses Mal gibt es passend für Warhammer The Old World Nachschub für das Königreich Bretonia und die Gruftkönige von Khemri.
Sunday Preview – The First Wave of Old World Made to Order
After some incredible reveals from the Las Vegas Open, and the next army for Warhammer: The Old World, the wonders still don’t cease.
We have all been bathing in a warm bath of square-based nostalgia for the past few months – and soon the living rooms and gaming clubs of the world will once again ring out with the cries of generals cursing Charge rolls and consulting To Hit tables. And now the first wave of Made to Order miniatures is mustering – with, for want of a better word, some real bangers on the slate.
The following miniatures are all cast in metal, with a smattering of plastic horses where necessary, and will be available to order from 10am local time on Saturday the 27th of January, on a Made to Order basis. They will only be available until 8am GMT on Monday the 5th of February, and your order may take up to 180 days to arrive.
Bretonnian Lord on Pegasus
Lead your Pegasus Knights in the manner they deserve with this mighty Bretonnian Lord coming in hot. This imperious character was first released as a hero in the late 90s, and may be armed either with a sword or a lance.
Bretonnian Lords and Battle Standard Bearer on Warhorses
This trio of mighty heroes were first released in 2004. Sold separately, one is armed with a lance, one a great weapon, while one bears a resplendent standard aloft. Their horses are plastic.
Bretonnian Paladins on Foot
This gaggle of knights on foot are here to do two things: add variety to your infantry regiments, and drop the jaws of collectors. The feller with the hound crest is a Knight of the Realm (sold individually), while the hero with the dragon crest is a Grail Knight (sold individually). The other two are Questing Knights, sold as a pair. All four date back to the early to mid 90s, though the Knight with the golden crest is the oldest, making his first appearance in the original Warhammer Quest.
Damsels of the Lady
The Knights aren’t having all the fun – these two Damsels are here to sling spells and lead an army of aristocratic hoodlums in prayer to the Lady of the Lake. They come as a pair, and were first released in the mid 90s.
Tomb Kings
These two Tomb Kings are sold separately. One comes with a hand weapon and shield, while the other gestures imperiously as he brandishes a great weapon. They were both originally released (we think!) in 2003.
Liche Priests and Battle Standard Bearers
Also hailing from the original Tomb Kings release way back in 2003, these sets of Liche Priests and Battle Standard Bearers come in pairs. Each pack contains one mounted character and one on foot, with plastic skeletal steeds.
Remember that these will all only be available for a limited time – until 8am GMT on the 5th of February.

Argh… warum immer diese Pakete? Ich brauch nur den alten Warhammer Quest Ritter zu Fuß, sonst hab ich alle Bretonen. >.<
Korrektur… die werden ja zum Teil seperat verkauft. Ist wohl schon zu spät. ^^‘
Einmal jetzt und dann nimmer, wer in einem Jahr Old World Khemri/Bretonen anfängt ist halt schon hart selber Schuld – der kriegt die nüsch. Hat ja schließlich bis 5.2.24 Zeit gehabt der Idiot.
Leute spinne ich jetzt oder ist das irgendwie wirklich uncool? Die Damsel zu Pferd zum Beispiel braucht man doch wirklich als Bretonenspieler auch in Zukunft und da gibt es dann einfach nach dem 5ten Februar keine mehr für viele Jahre…
Ich habe jetzt nicht nicht alle Ankündigungen im Kopf, aber die Damsel auf Einhorn und AST beritten/zu Fuß der Bretonen kommen noch.
Bei Khemri sind König/Prinz, AST und Priester angekündigt. Allerdings alle ohne Pferd.
Hier geht es nur um die alten Modelle aus Metall – neuere Modelle aus Resin wird es dauerhaft zu kaufen geben…
Als (ehemaliger) Khemri-Sammler fehlen mir tatsächlich ein paar Figuren (zB Standartenträger) noch. Was mich aber brennend interessieren würde: Wie hoch werden die Preise sein? Werden die vorher noch angekündigt oder erst ab 27.1?
Die Preise für Auftragsfertigungen gibt es erst wenn man sie bestellen kann, da es dafür keine Preisliste für Händler gibt.
Schön, dass man noch einmal eine Chance bekommt, an die Grunftkönige Minis der ersten Stunde zu kommen. Gerade die beiden Tomb Kings sind richtig gute Minis, die mir immer noch besser gefallen als bspw. der Plastik Gruftkönig aus dem Sphinx Bausatz. Selbst der neue Gruftkönig aus dem Skelettdrachen-Bausatz der Starterbox verliert für mich gegen diese beiden alten Klassiker. Ich werde mir die beiden Jedenfalls sicher einmal gönnen.
Auch der alte Priester der Todes hat was – wenn man mal von der übertrieben groß aufgerissenen Fresse absieht. Aber ich finde den ebenfalls besser als den Totalausfall, der der Plastik-Prieser von 2011 war.
Ein paar der MtO-Bretonenminis kann ich tatsächlich noch gut gebrauchen. Bin auf die Preise gespannt, aber die Knappen aus der ersten Runde waren z.B. jetzt nicht übertrieben teuer, wenn man die Originalpreise der 90’er bedenkt.
Die Maiden und die Ritter zu Fuß hätte ich schon gerne, da wird sich nur zeigen ob ich die auch zu den Preisen will die GW aufruft.
