Games Workshop: Empire of Man und Ironhead Squat Prospectors
Zum Jahres Ende bringt Games Workshop noch ein paar Neuheiten für The Old World und Necromunda. Diese gehen kommenden Samstag in die Vorbestellung.
Arcane Journal: Empire of Man
Unlock the full potential of the Empire with Arcane Journal: Empire of Man, the 48-page supplement containing new rules, background lore, and scenarios. There are profiles for named characters Harald Gemunsen, Grand Master Of The Knights Panther, and General Hans von Löwenhacke, plus numerous additional units, two Armies of Infamy comprising the Knightly Orders and the City-state of Nuln, and new magical items. It will be available as a softback book* and an epub.
Empire Of Man Battalion
Muster an army to sack your neighbours or defend your borders with a Battalion box that has more puffed sleeves and feathered helmets than you can shake a billhook at. 30 State Stroops and 30 State Missile Troops provide the manpower while a mighty Steam Tank lays waste. This box also contains two new Empire of Man infantry transfer sheets, comprising 290 decals each.
Empire of Man Reference Card Pack, Dice Set, and Transfer Sheet
Add to your collection with a set of Reference Cards and thematic dice. The pack of 36 cards lets you quickly reference rules for magic items as well the tricks your Steam Tank can perform, while each set of 20 dice is cast in pearlescent swirl red plastic with gold pips and a Warhammer icon on the six face.*
The new Empire of Man Transfer Sheet is covered with detailed emblems of the provinces of the Empire, plus regimental insignia, heraldry and iconography of the Knightly Orders, Marienburg, the City-state of Nuln, and other details – including tiny prayers to various gods which you can actually read…
There are numerous returning kits, starting with plastic kits and two centrepiece miniatures.*
General of the Empire on Imperial Griffon
Imperial Griffons are deadly creatures found in the World’s Edge Mountains, their chicks are stolen by brave adventurers to raise as smart and ferocious mounts for their lords. Few sights are as impressive as a General of the Empire on Imperial Griffon soaring above the battlefield. This plastic kit also builds a Wizard Lord on Imperial Griffon – only this one has two heads.*
War Altar of Sigmar
The Lectors of the Cults of Sigmar raise the spirits and incite the soldiers of the Empire with their zealous sermons, and the most senior are pulled into battle upon War Altars by heavily barded war horses.*
Commanders of the Empire
The customisable Commanders of the Empire kit builds two heroes for your army: one mounted and one on foot, with an assortment of options to personalise them – building Champions, Generals and Standard-bearers.*
Free Company Militia, Empire Pistoliers, Empire Knights, and Empire Demigryph Knights
Bolster your forces with a variety of plastic kits, including the rowdy Free Company Militia, the mounted Pistoliers (which can also be built as Outriders), Imperial Knights, and Demigryph Knights, all with command options.*
Cannons & Mortars
In the face of the supernatural and barbaric forces that threaten the Empire, its armies deploy cold steel and mounds of black powder, and field Great Cannons and Mortars manned by disciplined graduates of the Imperial Gunnery School. This kit builds two great cannons or mortars, and comes with six crew.*
Certain classic metal miniatures are also returning.
Teutogen Guard Warriors and Command
The Teutogen Guard are the personal bodyguards of Ar-Ulric, the high priest of the Cult of Ulric. They are personally selected from the Knights of the White Wolf, a prestigious accolade worthy of their fearsome reputation. A set of five Teutogen Guard Warriors can be paired with three members of the Command Group.*
Imperial Ogres
It doesn’t get more classic than these Imperial Ogres, a mercenary unit that towers above the puny humans. There are two sets of three: one armed with hand weapons, the other with great weapons, and a dangerous individual casually brandishing a whole cannon.*
Finally, there’s one resin kit to round out the first wave of releases.
Empire of Man Command Set
This set, initially released under the Warhammer Forge banner, comprises a General of the Empire, a Captain of the Empire with an impressive Battle Standard, and a Harbinger of Doom – who now has his own rules in the new Arcane Journal.*
Necromunda: Halls of the Ancients
The Ironhead Squat Prospectors came to Necromunda some 10,000 years ago as the Confederation of Urlish, and you can find out why they stayed in Halls of the Ancients. Inside the latest supplement for Necromunda, you’ll find a complete history of the Ironhead Squat Prospectors, updated rules for the gangs, including the new Exo-kyn and Svenotar Scout Trikes, plus rules for hired guns, hangers-on, Dramatis Personae and more. Stake your claim on this bounty of fresh new rules and lore in either hardback and ePub editions.*
Ironhead Squat Prospectors Exo-kyn
Squat Exo-suits are based on the void suits used long ago by their ancestors, and now employed to hunt treasure in the Necromundan ash wastes. They mine in the depths, far below the sump sea, and they’re quite happy to turn this equipment against anyone who attempts to steal their finds. This set of four Exo-kyn comes with two Techmite Exovator 078b automata, which help them survey for materials and fend off aggressors.*
Ironhead Squat Svenotar Scout Trikes
Rugged, dependable, and alarmingly fast, the Svenotar Scout Trike is light reconnaissance vehicle used by the Ironhead Squat Prospectors to roam ahead of the mining clans. Twin-linked weapons help them fend off rival gangs and their vehicles, while Techmite Oculi buzz alongside them, helping their riders zero in on targets with even greater accuracy.*
Ironhead Squat Prospectors Weapons & Upgrades
Don’t head out into the wastes without proper gear. The plastic Weapons and Upgrades kit will outfit your crew with new weapons, equipment, heads and arms. This set contains two sprues, including two-handed power axes and picks, flamers, melta guns, mining lasers, gem extractors, circular stone saws and more.*
Halls of the Ancients Gang Tactics Cards and Gang Dice
Round out your collection with a set of 26 Gang Tactics cards, which comprises 18 tactics cards and eight blank vehicle cards. Make sure you’re rolling in style with this set of eight gang dice featuring three six-sided dice, two injury dice, two firepower dice, and a scatter dice, all in a dark white and green swirl with gold ink.*
Age of Sigmar: Luminark of Hysh
A powerful war machine that devastates enemies by focusing light through a series of finely crafted arcane optics, the Luminark of Hysh is fielded by the Cities of Sigmar in their efforts to purge Chaos from the Mortal Realms. This kit has been slightly updated to fit better in Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and can also be built as a Celestial Hurricanum, which will unleash magical storms rather than beams of light. It includes a Battlemage, who can be mounted on either machine, adding spellcasting prowess to proceedings.
Black Library: The Emperor’s Gift (Special Edition)
Through an intensive regime of psychic training, new recruits are brought to the clandestine fortress of Titan to join the hallowed ranks of the 666th Chapter. These legendary battle-brothers must be vigilant and ever ready to defend the Imperium, for the forces of Chaos are never truly defeated.
The Emperor’s Gift by Aaron Dembski-Bowden returns in a Special Edition with a faux leather cover, silver screen printing, and a silver bookmark. Each copy is numbered and signed by the author. It will be available while stocks last.
Warhammer Plus
It’s a packed week on Warhammer+ with three shows dropping over the festive period – this time on Tuesday the 24th of December. The Battle Report Holiday Special features Da Red Gobbo in a custom Blood Bowl exhibition match with special rules and a festive board. Speaking of which, this week’s episode of Da Mekboy’s Workshop is all about the process of building that very same custom board.
The very first episode of Scribes & Scriveners invites Rhuairidh Jones, author of Da Red Gobbo Returns, to talk about the process of penning a novel about this loveable miscreant.
Over on Warhammer Community we’ve got new instalments of the Old World Almanack now that the Empire have their moustaches waxed and weapons sharpened, a discussion on the new Squats, and of course there’s something to look forward to on Christmas Day…
