Spells are spiraling out of control in corrupted ways with an evil will of their own, cosmic distortions run rampant within the walls of the academy, and the Council of Mages of Aleph, utter masters of their craft, have been influenced by an insidious entity from beyond and are unable to stop the ultimate chaos brewing from within and without, above and below. The Arkanum is being severed from existence into its own void demiplane.
