Welcome to ARCS: Vol.2 3D Printable Sci-Fi Terrain! Following the success of my four previous Kickstarters I am very pleased to present the next part of the ARCS campaign trilogy: a set of modular corridors, rooms, and ducts for you to print on your resin or FDM printers. The parts have been sized to fit on small printers too, such as the Elegoo Mars 2 and Prusa Mini.

Enliven your tabletop battles and RPG adventures with this 60 part (67 with stretch goals so far) modular terrain kit, scaled to work with 28mm Heroic Scale to 32mm miniatures, but easily adapted for others. The terrain was sculpted to fit the look of my previous Kickstarter campaign, ARCS: Vol.1 3D Printable Sci-Fi Assets, example of which can be seen dressing the Vol.2 terrain in the photographs and videos on this page. That set is available as an Add-On in this campaign, which is a good opportunity to grab it in its entirety at a lower price than on my Gumroad shop.

Please note that any furniture or assets shown in photographs throughout this page are only available separately as the ARCS: Vol.1 Sci-Fi Assets Add-On or on my Gumroad shop as a full, or separate themed sets.

The set comprises of a framework of interlocking pieces which can then be lined with detailed, sculpted inserts to create a complex as big as you wish.

I’ve created mechanisms for some of the pieces to add to the immersion and usefulness on the tabletop, such as the opening doors and Flexducts. With your help, I can create more parts via the stretch goals, building this into a colony, research station, or a spaceship, with different liners and, hopefully, external coverings!

This shows the door mechanism, which is very easy to construct. This one is printed in resin, but I tested it in PLA+ too and it worked great.

The Flexduct doors are of a similar construction to the other door. This video also shows the possibilities of movement with the Flexduct sections, they are bendy! The ones here are printed in a mix of PLA+ and resin; they work great in both.

The windows and doors have slots in them to allow for any clear material (under 0.5mm, I used spiral-bound document acetate) to be inserted. I put some damage on some of them for that abandoned colony ship look that I’m obsessed with for some reason.

This is the set of terrain that I have always wanted, and will be just right for my games of Alien RPG, AvP Unleashed, Crooked Dice’s 7TV, Star Wars Legion, Stargrave, and Five Parsecs From Home. I even have the Red Dwarf RPG, which we are going to finally give a spin using this stuff!

The ARCS project will consist of three volumes, using an aesthetic influenced by the sci-fi and horror films and TV I grew up watching as a teenager in the 1970s and 80s. ARCS itself is a colony ship on which something terrible has happened. This will be revealed over the course of the three volumes, culminating in a full AI controlled solo or 2-player game to play, but it is not necessary for the use of any of the models from the project.
