How they play:
The Hundred Kingdoms cannot claim to have the best troops, but they have damn good troops and they tend to have more of them. Their cavalry is second to none and the intrinsic flexibility of the human mindset means your opponent cannot be certain what he will face: A veteran force of hard bitten infantry supported by powerful casters? A thundering charge led by an impetuous lord that bets everything on the speed of horse and strength of arms? OR The canny and disciplined combined arms approach of a shrewd imperial officer who leverages each of these pieces into a sum greater than the whole.

How they play:
Spires are able to field a variety of options, from hordes of drones, to ranks of combat ready clones, and even elite armies composed entirely of war beasts and Avatara suits. Speed is the favored weapon of the Spires, making them faster than their enemies and capable of further leveraging this advantage via Biomancies and Pheromancies which allow them to push their soldiers past their limits, making them stronger, faster, and deadlier, at the cost of their own lives. However, Spire would not waste lives so inefficiently, so they have incredibly powerful healing abilities to ensure that your creations die when you say it is time for them to die. Their battleplans revolve around up trading their units with the opponents by using their Biomancies.

How they play:
Nords are all about aggression, as a “glass-cannon” army it’s kill or be killed. Typical Nord strategy involves putting as much pressure on the opponent as possible until they break. Every Nord unit gets stronger when they’re damaged, meaning that even if they don’t get the first hit in a fight they’re still hitting hard if not harder than they would be uninjured. Masters of the ambush and surprise, the army is all about momentum and while not the fastest force on the table you wouldn’t know it, as Nords are able to seize the initiative with multiple abilities to control their deployment and hamper their enemies’.

How they play:
W’adrhŭn are an elite, aggressive, army that must maintain an aggressive tempo and seize the initiative. Their unique War Chant mechanic allows each unit to chant a portion of a battlecry, growing in power as it reaches a crescendo, allowing the units that chant the Finale to receive significant bonuses to offense defense and mobility depending on which member of the pantheon the chant is dedicated to. While the W’adrhŭn pay for their elite infantry and vicious dinosaur cavalry dearly, the flexibility afforded to them by the War Chants allows them to cover ground fast, hit harder and last longer than their raw stats would seem to indicate as you push the attack and build up powerful abilities on your units at the same time. Coupled with the wide variety of monster the W’adrhŭn can field, this makes for a powerful offensive force.

How they play:
The forces of the City States consist of a strong core of rigorously trained and drilled soldiers supported by an assortment of hulking Minotaurs, towering spellcasting giants and mechanically enhanced veteran warriors. Although lacking strong missile support and with only one Cavalry option, the infantry core of the City States brings a plethora of troop types, formations and Special Rules to be pound-for-pound one of the most efficient infantry forces in the game. When playing with the City States it is important to protect your vulnerable flanks and engage your Infantry line as soon as possible. Once in combat the Faction’s unique Strategic Stack will allow you to forfeit an Activation in one front to subsequently pressure and Activate twice on another. Finally, you can fine tune the defensive or offensive output of your infantry formations by adding Minotaurs within their formations!

How they play:
The Old Dominion is an elite, defensive army that gets more powerful the more casualties it suffers. Combined with sturdy infantry and powerful supporting Cavalry and Brutes, this makes a very unique army whose power increases as the troop count decreases. Old Dominion armies generally play slower, wanting to grind down their enemy while getting stronger themselves until the enemy just cannot handle them any longer and break allowing the ever advancing forces of the Old Dominion push their way through. The Old Dominion armies can also take a Fallen Divinity, which changes how their army plays, as this monstrous centerpiece takes power from your army to enhance itself into a massive apparition of death that sweeps across the battlefield.

Die Boxen machen auch gut was her.
Absolut. Wer ein aktuelles Rank & File System spielen möchte ist meiner Meinung nach bei Conquest besser aufgehoben als z.B. bei The Old World.
Zumindest was die Spielmechanik angeht.
Hier gehts halt nicht um the old world. 😅
Was ja auch stimmt.
