Animated Militia – £16.44

While Akuba has been perfecting her art and making more powerful Gasadokuro, such as Hatchi, she has also learned to make simpler skeletal servants.  Akuba can create many of these, and she delights in imbuing the animating spirit with a duty to protect her coven. Unknown to Akuba, however, the poor quality of the remains and the intractability of the kami have left these creations with a fatal flaw, one that means any lucky blow may sever the connection between the animating force and the remains, destroying the physical presence and banishing the dark animus.

This model significantly expands the available Cult range of skeletons; we may see all skeleton lists eventually!  These offer more options to Yuta players for the From Below… Ki Feat and some super low Rice Cost models.  While they are as resilient as most Gashadokuro, beware of the dreaded doubles!  Any double on a damage roll will destroy your model, so you have another factor to consider in a Melee Exchange.

Taburo the Unbreakable – £16.44

Are you tired of your Oni getting shot?  Or are you worried about the damage Minimoto Samurai can do to your Alphas? Taburo can have Tough (3) with his Unmoved Ki Feat and the Oni Rage trait, making most damage disappear, barely touching his 12 wound boxes. However, he cannot sustain the Ki Feat without additional Ki from Consume Soul, and you cannot always Oni Rage; you must keep killing enemy models to fuel his outrageous abilities. The new Haul Ki Feat is also outstanding; if you need to gang up on a model and maybe get a surprise on it, this feat can move an enemy to somewhere you can take advantage of.

Akuto – £9.84

Many of the Silvermoon Shatei are little more than street thugs but do not doubt the usefulness of these scum to the Silvermoon as fighters.  Akuto learned to fight on the streets and the prisons around the worst places in the Jwar Isles.  His devastating and ruthless style has left many enemies crippled and ruined.
While he dominates those who cannot defend themselves, Akuto often needs help against trained fighters, as his lack of formal training shows through.
Akutō is one of this group of dedicated combat models, and we hope players will take to the new Silvermoon mechanics that capture the effectiveness of a street fighter. He may be just what the syndicate needs to complement their schemes at this low Rice Cost.

Spectre – £9.44

After becoming Shadow Crows, no worms have dared attack either of the twins to gain their advancement.  The two brothers have become increasingly independent, and while they have never outright disobeyed a senior in the Shadow Wind clan, their behaviour comes close to insubordination.  Only Ghost can force them to submit when they need to improve their behaviour.  While they have no souls to feel Fear, Ghost’s effect on them assures loyalty to the shadows.
While adding more options to the array of abilities of his Brother, Phantom, Spectre also brings a unique ability that KKZ players will find great uses for.

When Phantom succeeds in a melee attack, you can also have Spectre deal some damage without having to roll a melee exchange!  You can have them attack the same model for additional damage or spread them out simultaneously to deal damage in multiple places.  You can also bypass the melee defences of complicated models, such as Tanaka Kazuo or Master Akari.

Wolf Ryoshi – £16.44

Like all good wolves, the Ryoshi sworn to the Tanaka hunt in packs. The strict hierarchy of the clan means they do not fight with their samurai lords but in a group of their own.  Even with their long bows, they like to act together to fire simultaneously at the same target.

Rejoice, Wolf players!  We said wolves would continue to receive new models as part of the regular Shiho releases; well, here are the first ones.  The low model cost gives new options for Open Rebellion and Shiho lists.

Combined with ranged weapons, the Group Trait will give opponents something to worry about as they can shoot twice, and enemy models cannot react between the two shots.  The Tanaka family also has Endurance, so they will always have enough defence dice, even when exhausted.

  • Hach, Bushido ist auch so ein Spiel was ich schon viel zu lange auf dem Radar habe und einfach immer besser wird… Aber vielleicht liegts auch nur daran, dass sie immer mehr in super Studiobemalung investiert haben. ^^
    Nichtdestotrotz, die Minis in der Starterbox sind fantastisch, wenn auch von den Posen her leider sehr statisch.

    • Das spiel ist hervorragend, wenn man es eher präzise und komplex mag. Hat viele aufgefangen die die Reise WMH->GB->??? hinter sich haben.

      Und die Minis der letzten Jahre sind ebenfalls einfach nur supergut. Die ganz frühen Minis leider nicht so sehr, aber knapp 15 Jahre sind halt auch eine lange Zeit!
