Hot on the heels of Armies of Germany, the Bolt Action: Third Edition releases keep coming thick and fast. Next up, it’s the turn of the Americans, with Armies of the United States: Third Edition landing on pre-order on 24/01/2025, ahead of its release in April.

The second in our series of Armies of… supplements, this weighty tome is the definitive guide to all things American on the Bolt Action tabletop. Combining full unit profiles, national special rules, force selection guides, and of course loads of awesome artwork and photography, Armies of the United States is an essential addition to every Bolt Action player’s arsenal!

New Units, New Rules!

Armies of the United States brings a whole host of units, new and old, together inside its covers, making it the most complete guide to American forces in Bolt Action. In addition, the new army special rules and force selection guides make it easier than ever to turn your collection of American miniatures into a mighty force on the tabletop! These rules replace those found in the Bolt Action: Third Edition rulebook, bringing more depth and variety than ever before.

New Special Figure!

Accompanying the book is the fantastic special miniature, Sergeant James ‘Jake’ McNiece, US Airborne legend and inspiration for the book and film The Dirty Dozen. Feted for his exploits in battle and infamous for his lack of military discipline, McNiece would make four combat drops into North-West Europe, earning the respect of his men with his courage and determination on the battlefield. Depicted in winter uniform during the Battle of the Bulge and wielding a Thompson SMG, he’ll make for a fantastic addition to any US force!

New Miniatures!

Accompanying the book will be a wave of fantastic new American miniatures, spearheaded by the US Airborne (D-Day) plastic boxed set. Clad in their iconic M1942 jump uniforms and bristling with weaponry, these die-hard paratroopers are perfect for any D-Day force, or for players wanting to theme their army around the Band of Brothers TV series! Available in their own infantry Platoon boxed set and as part of the Currahee! starter army, they’re a great addition to the US miniatures line-up.

These miniatures are still in active development, so we’re not quite ready to show them off yet. We’ll be bringing you a full preview in January!
