Everything You Get in September’s Daughters of the Burning Rose Release!
Hello Patrons!
It’s less than a week until September arrives, and so it’s time to reveal everything you’ll be getting in next month’s release!
Cora has meticulously gone over each of the DBR infantry parts and updated even more of our Daughters modular infantry with brand new multi-shells and even more new parts!
C-Spec Operatives Mech Update!
We’ve still got a little bit more work to do on the Cyberpunk Special Ops Mech, but we’ll be back again soon to show you everything. We apologise for the delay, and hope that you’ll bear with us while we get it ready!
Daughters of the Burning Rose Heavy Weapons and Elite Infantry
In the images below, you can see that we’ve highlighted certain elements in bright orange, blue, green, etc (and you’ll see similar images in many of our previous releases too!), and various images say „multi-shell“ on them.
These colours mean that each highlighted element is actually a separate „shell“ – a complete 3D object that it is possible to move, scale, interchange, or even remove entirely! Want to know how? We’ve got a few excellent text and video resources for you to check out;
Sonic Sledgehammer’s Video Tutorial using MeshMixer.
And finally, an in-depth Blender Tutorial that covers advanced movement and manipulation of individual shells, as well as a whole lot more if you’re interested!
Starting out with the Daughter’s veteran heads, we’ve put together a set of stern and characterful faces and helmets with more decoration than that of the standard battleline soldier. Featuring a gaunt faced saint-commander, a psi-hood amplifier, a corvid rebreather plague mask, a skull helm with saint’s halo, a face with bionic reconstruction, and a fleur-de-lis gas mask with hood, there’s a wide range of themes to pick out your squad leaders or command retinues!
For the more standard troops, you’ll have the ever popular Barbute helm! 3 heads with helmets with unique ornamentation, and 2 with the face guard removed. There’s also 2 helmets without the standard Regiments neck joint for you to Digitally Kitbash with too!
But that’s not all! You’ll also have Daughters heads with raised hoods, which pair very nicely with the upcoming torsos and legs. We’ve also made the padded neck joint an optional element, letting you seamlessly bring in any other Digital head you may have, and tie them together in style with the rest of the DBR heads!
Hooded Barbute helmets too, with the hoods as separate Multi-Shell elements, making it even easier to give anyone a hood if you need to!
Next month sees the return of our tabard and fleur-de-lis torsos! Once again, we’ve combined the legs and torsos into a single printable unit, as this allows the tabard and tassets (hip armour) to sit more naturally. These DBR bodies are ornamented with shelled fleur-de-lis, and even the tassets are completely optional too!
However, to keep the modularity between sets as easy as possible for those that wish to build their figures post-print, both the Fleur-de-lis torsos and the Tabard legs have separate versions as well! The same shells occur across both versions, but their positions are slightly tweaked for better cross compatibility.
The Daughters‘ Heavy Weapons make their return next month too, with all three previously available options! Each weapon ammunition feed pairs with a corresponding pair of arms, in either a ready, or aimed pose. Make sure you pair them up on the build plate and dry-fit before you glue!
The DBR Rifle-Stock joint Arms feature again this month, but this time have completely new shelled components! The rifle stock has gothic arches integrated into the design, and each arm has additional cloth elements to mark their bearer out as an elite – a perfect spot for bold heraldry colours!
We’ve got three returning Rifle-Stock joint weapons releasing in next month’s set; the Cyclone Arquebus, Ion Lance, and Gothic Assault Rifle, all with optional magazines that also come held in hand – perfect for reloading poses!
The melee and pistol option this time is the Ion pistol and renaissance war hammer, as well as an all-new holstered ion pistol too!
Lastly for the modular infantry parts, we’ve got 2 shoulder pauldrons, (the fleur-de-lis, and heavier catheagle pauldrons) as well as 2 Power Plants, (the shield, and magma plants) and holy relics, sealed parchment scroll, holy texts, 5 decorative rose flowers, and 2 skulls – one purely ornamental, the other a converted and decidedly morbid cyberdrone, that acts as a familiar for the higher ranked commanders among the Burning Rose’s leadership.
Those high-command positions are naturally filled by our Inquisitor, Daemon Hunter & Banner Bearer, all of which have been cleaned up and had important elements separated out into shells where possible!
We hope you’re looking forward to the elite members of the Daughters of the Burning Rose forces coming to your tabletop very, very soon!
If you’d like the high-resolution Multi-shell renders to keep track of all the options, feel free to download them in the attached ZIP file!
Thank you all, for your continued support. We’ll sign off today with even more examples to really show how they all look arrayed for battle!
