EXPENDABLE EMPLOYEES is a streamlined, rules-lite cooperative 28mm skirmish miniature game for 1-4 players inspired by LETHAL COMPANY, CONTENT WARNING, HELLDIVERS™ 2, and other similar-themed video games and movies.

Players take on the role of employees organized in crews of 3-4 members, contracted to travel to the dangerous surfaces of exoplanets by loaned HAULER on behalf of the uncaring COMPANY.

A crew’s task while on the exoplanet’s surface is to loot SCRAP while surviving the exoplanet’s hostile SCRAP possessive entities, unpredictable Environmental Conditions, and DARKNESS while continuously maintaining a Profit Quota.

Zum Spielen braucht man

A 2×2’— 4×4’ exoplanet surface.

Dice —

• Twelve four-sided dice (D4) to represent SCRAP.
• Ten six-sided dice (D6) of two different colours, five of each colour, one colour representing employees and the other entities.
• D3: Roll a D6; divide the number by 2 (round up).
• A few additional dice of both kinds are needed for tests, etc.

Paperwork —

• An Employee Progress Report (EPR) per employee.
• A HAULER Record Sheet (HRS) per crew.

A measuring device in inches; pre-measuring is always permitted.

Miniatures/tokens — 

• A 25mm-based miniature/token representing each employee and entity.

4-6 pieces of terrain.

A 1×4” HAULER entrance.

ROUTING TO EXOPLANETS —

• Place terrain.
• Number each exoplanet’s surface edge.
• Using a D4, roll a random exoplanet’s surface edge to land the HAULER.
• Place the HAULER’S entrance anywhere against the rolled surface edge.
• DEPLOY SCRAP on the exoplanet’s surface from the skies.

GAMEPLAY = IT’S EASY!

THE MISSION —

• Place the employees at the entrance of the HAULER.
• Determine which employee goes first.
• Activate employees in a clockwise manner.
• Perform actions to loot SCRAP and return it to the HAULER.
• Avoid Entities, Environmental Conditions, and DARKNESS.
• When employees encounter an entity, die, or loot SCRAP, take a SWIG!
• Employees are cloned upon death, but at a cost.
• MEET THE PROFIT QUOTA!
