We know a lot of you are very keen to see updates on this… Here we have renders of our upcoming Norman unarmoured cavalry set!

These represent the mounted sergeants and retainers that would fight alongside the more heavily equipped Norman knights. Quite possibly they formed the second rank to a Norman cavalry charge to add weight and impetus.

The many shield and weapon options lets you field these figures as Breton light cavalry armed with javelins and light spears. They would skirmish with the enemy and give your Breton or Norman army some very useful fast moving skirmishers and great for following up a broken enemy.

We also have some Islamic head, shield and sword options so you could also field them as Andalusian cavalry in Spain.

You can also use these miniatures in the early Crusades and Spain as Knights retainers, sergeants or skirmishing Spanish cavalry. Many troops during the Crusades wore Arabised headwear so you can also use some of the Islamic heads on your Crusader troops.

This is going to be a massively useful set of miniatures for many nationalities and even Fantasy games. They are in the early tooling stage at present and we will keep you updated on their progress.

Norman Crossbowmen are nearing completion of the sculpting and we will show you the finished renders very soon.
