WOODSMAN: New Soldier Type for Silver Bayonet.

Nationalities: Austria, France, Prussia, Russia, Spain.

While much of Europe has been cleared to support agriculture, a few great forests remain. The men who inhabit these forests are tough survivalists. While they lack any formal military

training, their skills at hunting, foraging, forest-craft, and orienteering can often prove useful in specialist units. Above anything else, woodsmen know about fire and can quickly start fires when they are needed.

COACHMAN: New Soldier Type for The Silver Bayonet.

Nationalities: All.

It takes a hearty individual to drive a coach across Europe in this time of war. Not only is there a danger of military forces, roving bandits, and common highwaymen, but now there are also the strange creatures lurking in remote places. Add to this the mundane troubles of bad roads, broken wheels, and bad weather, and most coachmen are as tough as they come. While coachman generally aren’t found in the regular military, sometimes they get

inducted straight into a specialist unit, generally after being temporarily recruited for a specific mission.

HIGHWAYMAN: New Soldier Type for The Silver Bayonet.

Highwayman is the polite term for the robbers that haunt Europe’s roads. Armed with a pair of pistols, they prey upon coaches and other travellers, relieving them of anything of value.

While these outlaws have little desire to engage in a stand-up battle, they will fight like lions when cornered. No highwaymen would willing join the military, but occasionally when captured they are given the choice between the army and the noose. In such cases, these individualists often find their way into a specialist unit.

Designer Mike Owen wanted to do something a bit different with the Cultist pack for The Silver Bayonet range.

Instead of hooded thugs, he’s made a set of Upper Class Cultists, the decadent Lord and Lady devil worshippers with their burly footmen, masked, coming straight from some diabolical summoning ceremony.
