Heresy Thursday – Armour Up With Contemptor Dreadnought Legion Upgrades
One of the enduring images of the Horus Heresy is Contemptor Dreadnoughts smashing their way through the front lines with contemptuous ease. These mighty war machines are clad in the colours and livery of their Legion – and you’ll soon be able to upgrade the awesome plastic Contemptor with sculpted heraldry of your choice.
First to release are resin torso-and-head upgrade sets for six Legions – the Sons of Horus, Imperial Fists, Dark Angels, Emperor’s Children, White Scars, and Iron Warriors.
Veterans of the Horus Heresy may recognise these adornments from the resin Contemptor Dreadnoughts currently available from Forge World. They’ve been rebuilt and retooled to work with the new plastic model in all its versatile glory.
However, this does mean that the original resin Legion Contemptor Dreadnoughts – which have Legion-specific shoulders, legs, and other details – are not long for this world. They’ll soon be marked as Last Chance to Buy, and after that will disappear for good, so if you want one before the upgrade set becomes available, you’ll need to order it soon.

Mich wunderts ja da kein Beitrag dazu da ist, das die armen GWler wieder mal die Preise erhöhen müssen, weil alles so teuer ist.
wir wissen ja noch gar nicht ob sie in ihrer not 20 oder 25€ für das upgrade kit nehmen
Wer HH spielt, besitzt auch eine Zweitwohnung in Monaco, da sind die Preise und Preiserhöhung eh egal.
Wäre nett wenn du mir mal die Adresse meiner Residenz in Monaco nennen könntest.
Ne HH Armee kostet halt schon etwas mehr, wenn man bei Forgeworld kaufen muss. Inzwischen geht es durch das GW Plastik natürlich günstiger und man kann auch damit gute Spiele machen. Man muss das investieren wollen, aber Millionär muss man auch nicht sein. Meine Iron Hands habe ich jetzt über Jahre durch Sparsets und einige Panzer zusammengestellt und bin bei 700 Euro. Damit habe ich große und spannende Schlachten geführt und bis jetzt nicht zweimal die gleiche Liste gestellt. Für GW Verhältnisse geht das – teuer bleibt es aber natürlich.
Ich hab eine im Oman zählt das auch? Oder darf man HH nur Spielen wenn es Monaco ist?

@Kuras: Das stimmt. Die Frage ist natürlich: Wie viel Geld u. Zeit investiert man noch an Umbauten und Personalisierung. Meine SoH/True Sons Miniarmee habe ich noch mit Citadel- und Drittanbieterteilen personalisiert. So ganz „Vanilla“-MK4 Rüstungen finde ich ehrlichgesagt langweilig…
@UmstrittnerUser: Oman geht selbstverständlich klar; man kann dann bestimmt wunderbar auch draußen lackieren.
Vielleicht weil es bei den Preisen eh schon egal ist. 😀
Solange man baut und anmalt und nicht immer nur sammeln tut, ist das Hobby doch recht übersichtlich. Man muss halt nicht Alles von GW kaufen.
