Heresy Thursday – Unleash a Pack of Dire Wolf Scout Titans With a New Plastic Kit
Heresy Thursday has returned! Today, we’ve got a small but no less exciting instalment of our weekly Heresy-themed reveal article. With the cat shaped like Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Legions Imperialis now out of the bag, we’ll be using Heresy Thursday to talk about this new game alongside classic, regular-sized Horus Heresy.
This week, the Dire Wolf Heavy Scout Titan skulks into Legions Imperialis with an impressive new plastic miniature.
Previously available in resin, this hound has a bite that’s far worse than its bark, mounting a carapace weapon of a class usually reserved for larger Titans. In games of Adeptus Titanicus, we know that it loves to hide in dense terrain to ambush hulking Reavers and Warlords, and it’s no less deadly in Legions Imperialis – especially when it has columns of tiny tanks to chew on.
This new plastic kit comes with a choice of weapons up top – either an explosive volcano cannon, the punchy neutron laser, or a conversion beam dissipator.
In addition to a Titan-smashing main weapon, it sports two Ardex mega-bolters, gigantic rapid-fire weapons that unleash salvos of mass-reactive bolts.
Rules for this Titan hunter will be available in the main Legions Imperialis rulebook,* while the box contains a pair of Dire Wolf Heavy Scout Titans – just like regular Warhounds. And remember, they can be used in both games of Adeptus Titanicus and Legions Imperialis.

Jetzt, da er aus Plastik kommt, hole ich mir den vielleicht.
Wie lange ist es her, dass er aus Resin bei FW kam, etwa ein Jahr? Schon etwas verwunderlich.
Ich frage mich, ob den jemand gekauft hat und sich jetzt veräppelt vorkommt. Oder vielleicht hat’s wirklich niemand gekauft und sie dachten sich, das wäre jetzt schade um das Design, nichts draus zu machen.
Reine Spekulation natürlich. Ich bin gespannt, was noch für AT bzw Legio Imperialis Epic („L.I.E.“-I’m onto something!) kommt.

Ich bin jedenfalls froh darüber, dass ich den Warenkorb bei Forgeworld bis heute ignoriert habe!
In Plastik bin ich auch eher geneigt, den Dingern eine weniger steife Pose zu verpassen =)
Find ich super, dass der jetzt noch aus Plastik kommt. Wollte ich eh noch haben. Freue mich gerade über jede Ankündigung für das Spiel, habe da richtig Lust drauf.
Hab immer noch einen Warlord im Kopf, welcher Körner verstreut und einen Direwolf der diese aufpickt…
Der Clan Dire Wolf (Daishi) ist da mehr nach meinem Geschmack. 😜
Aha.. jetzt geht es einmal und endlich mit Epic weiter … solange man damit Geld machen kann und will, die Offensive läuft wohl los!?
Ich finde es immer witzig, das die Warhound-Variante so gebaut wird, das der Kopf und sogar der ganze Körper nach unten gebeugt ist. Also ob die Besatzung zur Feinderkennung durch das Fenster schauen muss oder am Boden schnüffeln. Gerade der Linke hat genügend Reichweite und ist wohl eher dafür gerüstet, auf Augenhöhe zu kämpfen oder auch größere Ziele als Scout-Titans und selbst wenn nicht, reicht ein Schwenk der Waffen. So sieht es immer aus, als müsste das arme Titanchen aufpassen, nicht über die kleinen Beinchen zu stolpern.
Es sieht um Längen besser aus, den Körper zu senken, aber die Blickrichtung des Kopfes grade oder so gar erhöht zu bauen.
An sich ein hübsches Model, aber mein Titanicus ist vollständig, außer es kommt noch ein Imperator.
