Forget everything you know about color rendering!

Most LEDs, even high CRI lamps, focus on the rendering of a limited number of color samples. Standard CRI analyzes only 8 color samples excluding key colors such as red, yellow, and skin tones in the calculation!

The R9 Desk Lamp boasts an exceptional extended CRI of 98.5+, which enables it to vividly show the true and natural colors of objects, as they would appear under daylight.

In case you need more comprehensive color rendering information, we also offer TM30-20 test results that evaluate 99 different colors or our extended CRI that examines 15 different colors. These additional metrics provide greater accuracy in assessing color rendering capabilities.

• 60° optical lenses to focus light beams where it’s needed

Our custom-made lenses concentrate the light flux into a 60° cone, allowing you to shape the light with exceptional precision. Made of advanced acrylic, these lenses don’t shift the color temperature or reduce the power output. Instead, they enhance the LUX where it’s most needed.

The most versatile lamp for creative people

The Redgrass R9 Desk Lamp allows you to erase shadows, focus on a specific detail of your larger model or artwork, and even add back lighting while filming – all with just one lamp. There’s no need for multiple lamps because the R9 Desk Lamp can do it all.

This lighting system consists of two light bars, each containing 48 high-quality LEDs, for a total of 96 LEDs.

The lighting produces a powerful 1800 lumens of light, which is concentrated by precision lenses to achieve an impressive illuminance of 3700 lux at a distance of 45 cm or 18 inches.

This results in a bright and highly focused beam that is perfect for a wide range of applications, from drawing and painting to photography and professional uses.

Pledges

This time, we don’t have a complicated pledge structure. With the main pledge, you will receive our lamp, with the power supply and a desk clamp to attach it to your desk. That’s it!

Should you need more than one lamp, you can easily add them as an add-on during the Kickstarter campaign, or after the campaign at the pledge manager stage.

Please note that the shipping fees are not included in the pledge amount and will be computed and added on the Pledge Manager. Please be aware that VAT is also not included and will be imposed through the Pledge Manager for backers from the EU, UK, and CH.

The R9  spigot mount is universal and will fit many other desk lamp stands or mounting clamps.

INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

The R9 Desk Lamp has undergone rigorous testing and certification processes to ensure that it meets all the necessary international standards for safety and performance.

The power supply, electronic parts, blue light emission, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) have all been independently tested and certified by professional labs.

This means that you can trust the R9 Desk Lamp to provide a safe and comfortable lighting experience, without any harmful emissions or interference with other electronic devices.

Development status

We are at the pre-mass-production phase, meaning we have fully functional pre production products, based on short series components for all the metal, plastic and electronic parts. Lamps are fully functional in terms of mechanical aspect, electric control and led boards and leds and we have the methods and tools to mass produce them. We only need to reach the critical size in terms of quantity to mass produce.

Production timeline

At the end of the kickstarter, we plan 3 months to create the few manufacturing processes and tools missing and produce the LEDs. We can then move onto the production itself. Once this stage is reached we can produce several thousands of units per month. First backers will receive their lamps first. It is projected to be in September 2023 for the first batch.

It means that the pledge manager will be conducted around 2-3 month after the end of Kickstarter. Don’t forget to take part to the survey, or your items will not be delivered.

Shipping

Shipping cost is not included in the pledge amount. And this cost will be collected during the pledge manager after the kickstarter campaign concludes.

We will use a US, UK , EU and AU Hub for this project.

Shipping conditions are based on the situation as of 31 March 2023. As you know, due to the current global situation, things may change.  We will adapt to offer you the best solution.

To offer you the lowest shipping rates, we, unfortunately, cannot ship products in separate shipments.

Please note that we currently cannot ship to the following countries: Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia.

Value Added Tax (VAT) for EU, UK and Switzerland

Please note that Value Added Tax is not included in the pledge amount and will be calculated and charged during the Pledge Manager for EU, UK and Switzerland deliveries, after the kickstarter campaign ends. VAT rates will be the standard rates for your country at the time of shipment.
