Diese Woche gibt es jede Menge Astra Militarum und neues aus der Black Library.
Sunday Preview – Reinforce the Astra Militarum and Prepare for the Black Library Celebration
The second wave of Astra Militarum conscripts is ready for duty in next week’s pre-orders, alongside a huge collection of books, limited editions and audiobooks released for this year’s Black Library Celebration.
Combat Patrol: Astra Militarum
Ensure the Emperor’s Hammer swings swift and true with this Combat Patrol, which contains a dependable core of troopers and big guns. Lead from the front with a five-man Cadian Command squad, overwhelm with 20 Cadian Shock Troops, and unleash mechanised firepower with a Sentinel and a Field Ordnance Battery of two artillery pieces.*
Cadian Castellan
The troopers of Cadia fight on long past the death of their home, commanded by Castellans. These proven commanders direct the flow of battle, with a huge amount of options for arms, weapons, and heads.
Commissar

Attilan Rough Riders
Saddle up and unleash some literally explosive cavalry charges with the Attilan Rough Riders. Shock cavalry still find a place in the battlefields of the 41st Millennium, using armour-penetrating melta tips or infantry-shredding frag tips to ravage the enemy.
Cadian Upgrades
The Astra Militarum welcomes any warm body who can hold a gun, and the Cadian Upgrades sprue is the perfect way to add extra variety to your regiments. There are 87 components in all, including extra heads, arms, and accessories, poses to create medics, map readers, and others, and even a decorated officer for your Rogal Dorn.
Aegis Defence Line
Dig in and prepare to weather the assault with the greatest defence system known to the Imperium. Shore up your battlefield with an Aegis Defence Line, comprising a platform, barricades, and defence line end pieces, which can be configured in numerous ways.

Captain Messinius

Aha. Wenn ich mir den Kommissar so anschaue, scheint eine neue Waffe bei 40k Einzug gehalten zu haben: der mächtige Schrumpfkopfstrahler. =-)
Ich finde das der mehr nach true scale aussieht.
Gefällt mir persönlich besser als wasserköpfe.
Mir kommt es so vor, dass der Gürtel zu weit oben sitzt.

Frage mich ja immer warum die Upgradesets kommen wenn alles andere schon da ist.
Die Combat Patrol ist in Punkto Minis 1 zu 1 der Inhalt der Cadia Stands Box. Es wird aber dennoch der wahrscheinlich günstigste Weg sein, um an Infanterie zu kommen, wenn man bedenkt, dass 10 Cadianer jetzt 40 Euro Liste kosten…
Die neuen Offiziere sind in Ordnung, aber ich bin kein Freund des neuen Kommissars. Ich mag an denen die übergroßen Mützen einfach – da ist mir das neue Käppi zu klein geraten.
Die neuen Rough Rides sind auch ok, aber nicht mein Fall. Hätten die wenigstens generische Cadia oder (Traum) sogar Todeskorps Reiterei gemacht, wäre ich sicher mit an Bord. Neue Attilaner habe ich persönlich für die Imperiale Armee nicht gebraucht.
Cadia Upgrades sind insofern merkwürdig, dass die gleich und separat kommen. Bringt aber etwas Varianz rein und ist wohl auch für das Infanterie HQ gedacht. Sicher eine Option, wenn man noch nicht alle neuen Cadianer Trupps aus der Starterbox gebaut hat. Mal sehen, was der Spaß kosten wird…
Aegis Line? Puh… Die alte fand ich besser…
Black Library Mini. Mal wieder ein Marine, diesmal von den White Consuls und mal ein Captain, kein Lieutenant. Ist ok, aber interessiert mich nicht mal als Sammlermini…
Die neuen Cadianer interessieren mich persönlich nicht, auch wenn ich den Release grundsätzlich gelungen finde. Es würde mich aber schwer nerven, wenn ich jetzt schon drei Trupps zusammen gebaut hätte und nun erst den Upgrade Gussrahmen sehen würde.
Die Attilaner wären einzig interessant gewesen, da ich bislang keine Kavallerie in meiner Sammlung habe. Leider mag ich die hier gar nicht – sieht für mich viel zu sehr nach AoS aus. Victoria Miniatures bringen irgendwann in den nächsten Wochen einen Kickstarter mit quasi-tallarnischen Reitern. Die Previews auf Instagram finde ich wahnsinnig toll und werde wahrscheinlich einsteigen.
Sorry ich finde die Attilaner sehen aus wie eine Zirkusnummer, schade das wäre etwas gewesen…
Bei dem Kommissar find ich schade das Ausrüstungsoptionen wegfallen. (Energiefaust…)
Die Cadia-Upgrades finde ich insgesamt sehr nett. Bei einigen Details kratze ich mir aber das unbehelmte Haupt:
– Ist das am rechten Rand ein Stück Felsen oder ein Umhang?
– Zwei komplette Minis als „Upgrade“? (Ich will mich nicht beklagen.)
– Ein Gewehr mit Munitionsgurt, der in den Patronenauswurf führt?!?
– Das Grabstein-Gewehr ist ganze viereinhalb Zentimeter tief in die lose Erde eingebuddelt und wird beim zartesten Lufthauch sowas von umkippen.
– DREI Sandsäcke? Als Stolperfallen, oder wofür?
