Todays release is for our 28mm Vietnamese range.
This pack contains an ARVN paratrooper with a ‚Blooper‘ grenade launcher as we felt there was one needed to complete the platoon.It also has a medic and casualty and a US Army liaison officer. For this we chose to base it upon a famous incident involving Stormin‘ Norman Schwarzkopf (of Gulf War generalship fame) Also known as The Bear due to his physical size, who rescued an ARVN casualty whilst serving as a MACV advisor to a South Vietnamese airborne unit during the Vietnam War: His weapon of choice was a short barrel M1 carbine.
We chose not to simply copy the famous photograph/ statue of the incident so that Norman can be used independently in his liaison role. His experiences in Vietnam are best summed up here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Schwarzkopf_Jr.
