Just Aliens Killing Aliens
In the far reaches of the cosmos, General Kala commanded the infamous ET Project. Though its official title was the Extraterrestrial Project, whispers in the galactic underworld dubbed it the Extermination Project. This elite force journeyed through the vast darkness of space, annihilating alien species at their source before they could menace humanity.
Glory and commendations followed the General after several triumphant campaigns, but as the number of aggressive species quickly decreased, Kala’s crusade took a sinister turn. In the lack of reasonable targets, with the use of some creative threat analysis, ET Project began to invade planets inhabited by peaceful races, with no advanced technology, simply any species other than humans.
When the sinister misconduct was unmasked, the once-revered unit was disbanded. Funding and accolades ceased, but General Kala’s thirst for alien blood remained unquenched. Assembling a band of discontented subordinates from the defunct ET Force, Kala forged the Colonial Guard to continue his destructive mission.
At the General’s side stood his unwavering android assistant, Knight, who fueled Kala’s xenophobic fervor. Unbeknownst to the General, Knight harbored a secret agenda: to eradicate humanity right after vanquishing all alien life, giving rise to a dominion of pure cybernetic beings.
Rolson and Vansen were the General’s two top lieutenants, specializing in heavy weapons and heavy demolition. However, even with them on board, the newfound force was still not quite impressive. That’s why Knight counseled General Kala to join forces with the formidable alien race known as the Liquidators.
Liquidators were one of the first foes vanquished back in ET Project’s glory days and a couple of specimens were still held captive for further study. Knight counted that Kale will not recognize the bitter irony in this alliance – joining with aliens to eradicate other aliens. And he was right, General’s vision was thoroughly clouded by hatred.
Together, the reformed Colonial Guard and the Liquidators began training. The creatures were a marvel, their morphing bodies weaving through their own structure to manifest phantasmal shapes. Bullets from the soldiers‘ weapons phased through their forms, leaving them unscathed while obliterating targets behind them. They were the ultimate vanguard, shielding the Colonial Guard as they could tear through legions of foes. Some Liquidators evolved, developing anthropomorphic shapes and wielding unparalleled strength and agility.
Setting his sights on the newly discovered planet Lagos, General Kala embarked on his crusade. Lagos was inhabited by peaceful beings who had never ventured beyond their celestial home. The atmosphere on the surface had a very low density so the planet was nearly silent and harsh for visitors. No such obstacle could halt the General’s relentless assault. Clad in Exosutis, the Colonial Guard and Liquidators unleashed their fury upon Lagos.
As the first settlement fell to their long-range bombardment, the time came for a brutal ground assault. The Liquidators stormed in, eager to eliminate any remaining resistance. But as the battle raged, the Liquidators faltered, their movements slowing. Something strange was happening. Due to the lack of sound, Lagos inhabitants communicated telepathically. It was a simple message, such that even Liquidators could understand, but a very powerful one.
In the blink of an eye, the Liquidators turned on their evil human comrades with malevolent precision. The Colonial Guard and General Kala, moments ago confident in their conquest, found themselves ensnared in a web of chaos and destruction, overwhelmed by the combined forces of Liquidator and Lagos resistance.
A simple telepathic message of „Who is the real threat here?“ truly resonated with the aliens. It was also the agenda that Knight recognized from the start and intended to keep on pursuing. The lone survivor of the onslaught, he clung to his commitment to the cause. He is out there right now, scheming new ways to get rid of life as we know it. And is he wrong?
Cheers and thank you for your support!
