Diesen Monat taucht Warp Miniatures in die britische Folklore ein.
August 2022 – Beasts of the British Isles (Part 1)
Hey folks, hope you are all well!
I’m delighted to show to you the first release for the theme for August and September 2022 – The Beasts of the British Isles! For these two sets I’ll be exploring the folklore of my native land and bring you a selection of monsters from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. This is a set I’ve wanted to do for a very long time, and I hope you enjoy what is to come!
First up, we have a very big boy indeed. Giants have always been a huge part of British folklore, particularly in Scotland and Ireland. And the best part is, you can print him as big as you wish!
Another Scottish legend is that of the Kelpie – a mysterious water horse that feeds upon those who aren’t careful around the lochs. It is said that those who can snatch a Kelpie’s bridle gain good luck, is that something you’d like to try?
From the dark and shadowy places of England hail the Barghests, or Devil Dogs. These slavering hounds are harbingers of doom, and are common features of British folklore. Hope you’ve got some chew toys…
And finally – the mischievous Mari Lywd of Welsh folklore is a creature that knocks on your door, challenges you to a song contest and attempts to eat and drink you out of house and home. I’m not even joking… look it up!
I hope you enjoy this release as much as I enjoyed sculpting them!
Many thanks,
– Alex

Gefällt mir jetzt nicht so, aber wahrscheinlich bin ich auch einfach nur ein Kulturbanause.
