February full Preview.

In February we will try to bring the spring a little earlier and at the same time increase the ranks of elves from the Redleaf clan. Here is a full look at February.

At the dawn of time, great forests spanned across the entire world. One of them was the Redleaf Vastwood, held in everlasting autumn by the elves inhabiting it. Their magical control over nature allowed them to shape the land and the forest to their harmonious needs. The Redleaf Elves were the protectors of this Vastwood, and the forest provided them with any means necessary to aid the defenders. The trees and stones would raise up to fight alongside the elves equipped with weapons made of the Living Wood.

As countless centuries went by, the world-spanning forests shrank. With new civilizations and societies growing across the globe, there was less space for the ancient woods. The Redleaf Vastwood met the same fate—various human empires and kingdoms rose and fell at the expense of the autumn forest its elven denizens. Humans were ambitious and, in time, their overwhelmingly great numbers managed to push the elves back. The conquerors exploited the land for resources, destroying natural wonders cultivated by the elves. The Redleaf Vastwood is now only a fraction of its former glory.

The heart of the forest stands intact, however. No outsider was ever able to reach the deepest parts of the Vastwood. The elves and nature itself work in unison to prevent trespassers from discovering the secrets of the Redleaf. Even though in the recent decades the geopolitical situation around the Vastwood has stabilized, the elves tend to see all outsiders as a potential threat. People who decide to venture into the forest must be prepared to meet an arrowhead before an elf.

The Redleaf Vastwood is home to an exotic and rare specimen of trees. The wood from these trees, commonly known as the Living Wood, can be harder and more durable than steel if treated properly. The elves tend to them meticulously and sing ancient songs that allow them to give the wood any shape. The Redleaves use this technique to create breathtaking cities hidden deep in the forest. All weapons the elves use, from arrowheads to swords, are grown from the Living Wood as well.

Cheers
