The Barons‘ War 4: Outremer Kickstarter
Der neue Kickstarter von Footsore Miniatures läuft.
Und darum geht es:
Aktuelle Stretch Goals:
We are bringing a new setting to The Barons‘ War, a fresh start for this award-winning game. It’s time to move away from the green fields of England and move the action into the desert, where the western Franks encounter a brand new challenge.
By relocating The Barons‘ War over the sea, we are creating a brand new range of miniatures, with supporting retinue lists compatible with the current rulebook and miniature range.
The Outremer supplement will be a PDF providing background and retinue lists that work in conjunction with The Barons‘ War rulebook. At the end of a successful campaign, the full-colour PDF booklet will be a FREE reward to say „thank you“ to backers for completing their pledges.
Outremer is the second time Paul and I have brought a project to Kickstarter from scratch, the first being when we initially kicked off The Barons‘ War back in Sept 2019. We are hoping that with your help, we can make this new setting a success too.
The ‚Antagonists‘ level enables you to back for one of each of the initial 10 figure packs.
The ‚Choose your Packs‘ level enables you to choose your own mix of packs & pledge.
You are able to increase the amount of any pledge to add any figure packs including any unlocked stretch goals throughout the campaign. Check the graphic below for details on how to change your pledge amount. If you need any help please drop me a message.
THE FORTIFIED HOSPITAL
A brand new setting needs brand new terrain. As part of this project the Fortified Hospital is offered both physically and digitally. We thought long and hard about the best way to make appropriate terrain available and decided the digital sculpting route was the answer.
Being digitally sculpted allows us to offer the terrain in two ways:
We have organised ourselves to be in a position where we can print the files for you offering physical products where a 3D printer isn’t readily available. We are limited to 50 Fortified Hospitals, printed using liquid resin and supplied unpainted.
A successful Kickstarter will enable us to increase our printing capacity so we can grow our range of high-quality resin printed terrain and print on demand for you. A successful campaign will enable our future plans to continue to extend our range filling tabletops with some of the best medieval terrain available – especially for this setting!
If successful, we will also be adding a comprehensive selection of previous The Barons‘ War packs in the pledge manager which are suitable for the new setting – these figures can be used as Settled Franks, Crusading Franks, The Military Orders or Local Bandits/Marauders.
Nigel Wood has kindly offered us his pledge miniature from BW3 to help us with our new campaign. We’ve chosen to make the monk figure available to anyone who backs during the first 24 hours as a thank you for getting in there early.
NB: We will NOT be releasing this figure as it belongs to Nigel.

If everything goes to plan this will be our production schedule for the campaign:

SHIPPING
We’ll be collecting shipping costs after a successful campaign and once you have finalised your pledges in the pledge manager. The shipping table below is included to give an indication of what these costs will be. We expect shipping costs to be the same as those currently used by Footsore Miniatures & Games who are handling all our shipping.
NB: If you back for the physical fort expect to pay the additional costs shown above as it must be shipped independently from any pledge containing miniatures.
*EU pledges via IOSS. What are the advantages of the IOSS?
The IOSS facilitates the collection, declaration and payment of VAT for sellers making distance sales of imported goods to buyers in the EU. The IOSS also makes the process easier for the buyer, who is only charged at the time of purchase, and therefore does not face any surprise fees when the goods are delivered. If the value of the products exceeds €150+ the buyer has to pay the VAT and usually a customs clearance fee on receipt.
To avoid unnecessary import charges, for all EU orders:
- Keep your pledge under €150 excluding VAT and shipping
- If you want to pledge over this value email us so we can help
Die Kampagne ist finanziert und läuft noch 14 Tage.
