THE BOOKS

If you read our previous blog, you’ll know that we don’t want people carrying around a bunch of books, just to play a game. The starter set contains a full rulebook and the full force list book, plus a cardboard token sheet. There’s also a handy ‘getting started’ leaflet, which contains some basic info and tells you how to build the miniatures included in the set.

ALL-NEW HARD PLASTIC MARAUDERS

Ok, this is a big one folks! After launching Marauders as part of Deadzone: First Edition, they’ve been some of our most requested hard plastic sci-fi miniatures. So, we’re absolutely delighted to included them in the two-player set. We’ll be taking a closer look at the Marauders in the future blog but, rest assured, the hard plastic sprues come with all the weapon options you could possibly need for Firefight and Deadzone.

HARD PLASTIC ENFORCERS

In a nod to the Mandrake Rebellion, which you can read all about in the rulebook, the Marauders will be facing off against the mighty Enforcers. These are all hard plastic, and include 20 standard Enforcers (can be built as Assault Enforcers or standard Enforcers), five Peacekeepers (with a range of options) and two Jetbikes (with weapon options). Again, if you’re thinking of collecting Enforcers, this is the perfect start to your army and gives you some solid foundations on which to build.

DICE!

We all love dice, right? The starter includes 16 D8s and the all-important Command Dice. You get 11 Command Dice (eight black, two orange and one green) and, using the suggested army builds in the starter booklet, you’ve got the correct amount of Command Dice for your commanders.
INCREDIBLE VALUE

To put it into context what amazing value this two-player is, we cracked out the back of an envelope and did some sums. If you were to buy all of the above separately it would come to £200, so that means you’re getting everything for less than half price at £90. Seriously, Crazy Bobby must have come up with this starter set price. Oh, and that price doesn’t include the Ripper Suits because we don’t currently sell them separately… so it’s actually even more :p
