As war breaks out all over the world, it is not the men on the ground nor the fleets at sea that take center stage, but the mighty leviathans, massive flying battleships bristling with cannons. These vessels will define the outcome of every battle they soar  into.  Your job will be to take command of a fleet of these ships and lead your forces to victory over your opponents.

WELCOME TO THE BRIDGE

Leviathans: The Great War is a tactical miniatures game set in an alternate timeline where a groundbreaking discovery has led to the ability to make large objects float into the sky. After the Battle of Tsushima, where „flying ships“ turn the tide, the major powers of the world race to forge the titular leviathans: flying warships used to expand power and defeat enemies.

The original Leviathans game was released in 2012 to critical acclaim and was received by a dedicated fanbase who loved the beautiful miniatures, unique game mechanics and immersive world.

 

This Kickstarter will not only bring the game back but will greatly expand on the original, adding new abilities, ships and factions past what was put out in 2012, while advancing the timeline directly into the The Great War era.

GAMEPLAY

• Leviathans is a tabletop miniatures game that uses the innovative modular dice system of color-coded dice and easy-to-read physical record-keeping cards that allow for quick and easy play while retaining the depth of strategy that will encourage repeat play.
• Each game centers around moving our pre-painted miniatures across a hex board, trying to out-maneuver your opponent. Players will fire various weapons at each other’s ships until either an objective is completed or the enemy falls from the sky.
• Leviathans prides itself as a game that is easy-to-learn, while having a large amount of tactics and replayability.
• Pre-Painted and Pre-assembled
• All the miniatures will come pre-painted and pre-assembled. Some of the boxes shown have gray miniatures but they are mockups only. All ships will be fully colored.

SHIPPING

The current shipping conditions of the world make it impossible to give accurate cost estimates. Not when we’re shipping more than a year from now.

Instead, we can say that we have already opened a test hub in Australia for shipping and selling items locally, and are near signing a deal for a European hub where products can be shipped and distributed directly. All of which will cut down on shipping costs. And we’ll continue to partner with companies, as appropriate, to find new and innovate ways to deliver in a world where shipping is challenging and unpredictable.

Regardless, over-sized items (such as the neoprene matts) will always be more expensive to ship.
