GW: Codex Chaos Space Marines und The Horus Heresy
Sunday Preview – Kill, Maim, and Requisition With Codex: Chaos Space Marines
We told you 2022 was going to be the year of Chaos – and unlike the forces of the Archenemy, we at Warhammer Community would never lead you astray. It’s a week as bounteous as Grandfather Nurgle’s gifts… check it out.Warhammer 40.000
Codex: Chaos Space Marines
The new Codex: Chaos Space Marines is bursting with evil, covering all the rules you need to let the galaxy burn. Included are eight subfactions, plus datasheets for 44 units, as well as Relics, Stratagems, Crusade rules, prayers, psychic powers, Marks of Chaos, and other vile articles of blasphemy.
And for those who really want to go above and beyond in their obeisances to the whims of the Dark Gods, there’s the Collectors’ Edition, which includes a soft touch cover emulating the flayed skins of your dead enemies, silver foil page edges to pay shining homage to the god of excess, and a ribbon page marker so you don’t lose your place.
Combat Patrol: Chaos Space Marines
You’re not going to set the galaxy to ablaze without a solid spine of Chaos Space Marines, and there’s no better foundation for your next Black Crusade than this Combat Patrol, which contains 19 veterans of the Long War. Led by a Dark Apostle, who’s accompanied by two cowled Dark Disciples, you also get a squad of 10 Heretic Astartes, five Havocs with a range of deadly heavy weapons, and a Helbrute for some punishing heavy support.
Chaos Space Marine Datacards and Dice Sets
Keep track of your Stratagems, psychic disciplines, and prayers with this absolutely monstrous set of 121 datacards. There are 31 generic faction Stratagems, seven core Stratagems, eight each for six of the Legions, plus four apiece for the Red Corsairs and Creations of Bile. On top of that, you get nine Dark Hereticus discipline psychic powers, six Malefic powers, Smite, and 11 Prayers to the Dark Gods – which have clearly been answered by this pack. Available separately is this set of 20 crimson Chaos Space Marines dice, with the eight-pointed star of Chaos emblazoned on the six face.
Combat Patrol: Genestealer Cults
Praise the Four-armed Emperor, for The Day of Ascension approaches and the Star Children are near at hand. All things come to the faithful, as the Genestealer Cults get a Combat Patrol box to call their own. This generous set contains 32 miniatures, including a Magus, a Goliath Rockgrinder (which can also be built as a Goliath Truck), five Aberrants, five Acolyte Hybrids (which can also be built as Hybrid Metamorphs), and 20 Neophyte Hybrids. In short, it’s more than enough to throw off the yoke of the old order and take your rightful place.
The Horus Heresy
Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness Rulebook
For the first time, the rules for the latest edition of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy will be available separately. This is the same lavishly illustrated and comprehensive rulebook found in the Age of Darkness boxed set. It’s available in English, French, and German, as a standard hardback rulebook, an ePub, or in a special collector’s edition – artfully finished with bonded leather covers and metal corner protectors.
Legiones Astartes: MKVI Tactical Squad
Likewise, the MKVI-armoured Space Marines first available in the Age of Darkness set are also now available separately. You get 20 highly posable plastic Astartes armed with bolters and grenades, plus optional bayonets or chain-bayonets. There are also parts to build up to two Sergeants armed with various pistols and close combat weapons, as well as troops equipped with wargear like the nuncio-vox, a Legion vexilla, and augury scanner.
Space Wolves: Geigor Fell-Hand
Previously only available in the Burning of Prospero boxed set, Geigor Fell-Hand is available separately, for the first time ever, in plastic. He’s champing at the bit to be let loose on the enemies of the Imperium, and will lead your Space Wolves to savage glory on the battlefields of the 31st Millennium.
Legiones Astartes: Praetor and Chaplain Consul
Bolster your forces – be they Traitor or Loyalist – with this set of two Adeptus Astartes HQ options. Originally available in the Space Marine Heroes set, these two plastic miniatures can lead your forces in both the martial and spiritual arenas. The Praetor is clad in Cataphractii Terminator armour, wielding a chainfist and a combi-melta, while the Chaplain is in artificer armour with a plasma pistol and Crozius Arcanum. You also get a set of Horus Heresy transfers.
Dice: Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists
The first two sets of Legion dice are also available to pre-order from next week. Both packs contain 19 standard six-sided dice in your chosen Legion’s colours, with their emblem on the 6 face, plus a single scatter die.
