Thorngrim & Company: Space Scrappers Kickstarter

Retro-Weltraumzwerge suchen Unterstützter.

Thorngrim & Company is a set of 28mm space dwarf miniatures inspired by the old school miniature sculpts of yore, and based on the company of dwarves (and attached members) from a popular fantasy epic.

Jorvik Thorngrim and his company of elite mercenary “Scrappers” are a hearty mix of asteroid miners and warriors adventuring their way through derelict space wrecks (drifters) and abandoned mining asteroids trying to find lost and fabled treasures and technologies. Along the way they are joined by a Halfling rogue and an ancient cyborg Astrogator in a pointy hooded cloak (G4NDF).

Each member of the company is a unique hero, designed with lots of character, armed and armored to take on a role in expeditions that feature their talents.

The real reason Thorngrim and his clan have taken on the trade of Scrappers though, is that they search for the fabled Oath Stone of his clan which was taken when a Void Demon destroyed his entire belter colony asteroid.

As the Kickstarter progresses and Stretch Goals are met, you will unlock new locations on the adventure map and backers (at the correct pledge levels) will not only get a new mini, but a scenario of the adventures of Thorngrim & Company.

These scenarios are set up to be used with any rules system you like, but will provide stats for two of my favorites: Warhammer 40K as well as Galactic Heroes by Wiley Games. Just follow the map to see which adventures are unlocked.

And… if you are good at moon runes, you might be able to figure parts out. Or, you might be half Eldari…

The pledge levels for Space Scrappers is pretty straight forward: there are three designed to give you provide the best options for you, from picking and choosing your minis to the sets.

But wait- there’s more! This Kickstarter has a 24 Hour deal. Back at the Adventure – 24 Hour Deal or Double Your Adventure – 24 Hour Deal (ONLY AVAILABLE in the first 24 Hours of the Kickstarter) and you will also receive a limited edition sculpt in the scale and form of the old school style space dwarfs, which Drew gifted me as a Christmas present – it’s what started this all! This mini will never be for sale, so now’s your chance!

Stretch Goals:

You love them – we love them! Space Scrappers has some sweet Stretch Goals waiting to be unlocked.  All Stretch Goals are designed to be freebies for all who back a pledge that states „Eligible for Stretch Goals“. As goals are unlocked, I’ll add more to the list. It’s like a second galactic breakfast just waiting for you!

Add-ons:

The Add-ons section allows you to pick and choose from the miniatures available. To get the Add-ons just total the additional cost of each figure and add it to your pledge goal amount. (Note: the figures will also be available in the BackerKit „store“ after the Kickstarter ends, but the more you pledge up front, the more Stretch Goals that can be unlocked.)

Größenvergleiche:

Space Scrappers miniatures are designed to fit in with a lot of the old school minis, but with an updated scale to match the later sci fi ranges. Average height is 22mm to the top of the head for the dwarves. Scale-wise this puts them in line with most Halflings or Dwarves of other miniatures lines.
