The Other Side: Tatarigami Preview
Wyrd Miniatures zeigen mit Tatarigami eine Aussicht auf die zwei geplanten neuen Fraktionen für The Other Side.
Waldo’s Weekly – Holiday Spirit
Hey Wyrdos,
This week, Waldo started getting into the holiday spirit by… summoning a holiday spirit. We should have known he was up to snow good when he chanted “Yule be sorry.” I’ll never fir-get the frozen look on that ghost’s face when he found out the only reason he was brought back to the world of the living was for a recipe of Waldo’s favorite dish: poultry-geist.
So, while we deal with a hungry ghost of Christmas past, let’s take a sneak peek at an upcoming gargantuan of a character for The Other Side!
In case you missed it in our Gen Con 2021 video, we have officially announced the next two Allegiances for The Other Side: the Kimon (oni from a realm called the Beyond), and the Three Kingdoms (Japan, Vietnam, and China).
While the Kimon and Three Kingdoms are both a ways away from being released (likely late 2022), we wanted to give a glimpse of what’s to come for our large-scale wargame. And while some of you may have already seen the 3D sculpt of this model at one of our convention booths, most of you aren’t aware of who he is or what he’s going to do on the battlefield. So, without further ado, let’s take a closer look at the Tatarigami!
Tatarigami are curses incarnate. Though condemned to the bleakness of the Beyond, Tatarigami have been recorded briefly possessing storms on Earth. Each fed its host with a stream of aetheric energy until manifesting as raging storms with human faces. The shogunates of Nippon suffered the most from the attention of Tatarigami. Lightning, wind, and rain were destructive forces all their own, but the oni’s curses lingered in the air and soil. War follows a Tatarigami’s appearance, but so too does famine, plague, and a disruption of the land’s kami.
Tatarigami act as line anchors, preventing enemy fireteams from Cheating Fate while near it. Its 3” Typhoon Action dishes out Piercing hits while repositioning their targets, and its Lightning Storm is a solid long range attack that’ll surely give your opponent a shock. Given its large base size, a Tatarigami has a surprising threat range that your opponent won’t be able to ignore.
The storm grows stronger while in Glory. A Tatarigami gains increases to its Defense, Willpower, and Armor, and its Lightning Strike gains the low-threshold Illuminate Trigger. This can help you gain much-needed Tactics Tokens.
The Tatarigami will be joining the Kimon later in 2022. We still have a ton of characters to cover between now and then, so make sure to stay tuned!

Was macht es so cool?
ALTER WAAAS?
Ein Update zu the other side?
