Hey EU customers! It’s just over one month until the low-value VAT exemption ends for orders under 22 euros.From July 1st I will open an Etsy shop for EU (and Norway) customers. This will mean you can place orders up to 150 euros and pay VAT at the point of sale, and you will not receive a VAT bill or handling fee from your postal service before delivery.That does mean that EU prices will be 17-27% higher, depending on your country’s VAT rate – due to Etsy fees I cannot reduce the net prices to mitigate the added VAT. But avoiding a 6-24 euro handling fee is surely a bonus.I had hoped to collect EU VAT through my shop, but the UK Government has so far failed to negotiate direct access to the VAT scheme for British businesses. This might change in the future, but as it stands I would have to appoint an EU-based intermediary, at the cost of hundreds of pounds per month. So Etsy it is.Until then though, you can still receive orders under 22 euros and not have to worry about VAT and handling fees. AWS stellt den Versand in die EU sogar ganz ein und die werden nicht die einzigen sein
Ja, das fürchte ich auch, GB als Lieferant wird schwierig werden, einige Schmieden halten sich schon länger sehr bedeckt 🙁

#$*&! Verräter. Dass einem B.J. et al mit ihren Bezügen solche normalmenschlichen Probleme vollkommen egal sind, begreifen die Kurzsichtigen mit vorgestriger Tendenz als Frustventil natürlich nicht.
Aber die anderen dürfen’s ausbaden.
Bleibt zu wünschen, dass die Lücken einheimische Chancen eröffnen.

Das wird langfristig den englischen Firmen mehr wehtun als den europäischen Kunden. Solche Lücken werden gefüllt werden und dann wird es umso schweerer sein zu einem späteren zeitpunkt wieder in den markt zu kommen. Antenocities gehts eh schon seit einer ganzen Weile dreckig und die hatten 70% Europageschäft was jetzt weg ist, hatten dazu auch einen offenen Brief veröffentlich mit einem Sale um noch etwas Knete wieder reinzubekommen. Die werden kein Einzelfall sein. Und sich als englische Firma auf den englischen Makrt zu verlassen ohne EU Raum ist gelinde gesagt Träumerei.
Ja die AWS uns geht’s schlecht wir müssen einen sale Masche nervt machmal.
Aber Schlecht get es ihnen ja wirklich ein grusselig schönes Beispiel wie Kickstarter einer funktionieren Firma langfristig schaden kann.
Die Firmeneigenen Fehlentscheidungen lass ich mal aussen vor.
Und ich frage mich wie lange die das noch durchhalten
