Mammoth Miniatures: Brutal Quest Kickstarter
Nic Evans, der Autor von Planet28, hat heute den Kickstarter für sein neuestes Projekt gestartet.
Brutal quest is set of simple narrative skirmish rules, designed for playing quick and violent miniature battles in a world of vicious fantasy. Brutal quest is designed to give you that oldschool miniature wargaming experience with a modern twist. Based on the Planet 28 rule system, Brutal quest is inspired by the inq28/Aos28 movements. Brutal quest is meant to provide a quick and simple rule system for playing one off games or linked campaigns with warbands of lovingly converted miniatures. Brutal quest is a narrative wargame – whilst you can play it competitively, the rules are designed with story telling in mind. As such Brutal quest can be played as either a one v one battle, or as a long form narrative campaign overseen by a game master. As you play your characters will develop, Fulfilling their own unique quests to gain new traits, abilities and gear as they go.
What’s planet 28?
Planet 28 is a sci fi skirmish ruleset, brought to life as part of zinequest 2, and designed to provide a set of simple and easy rules for kitbashers to use in pick up games. Since its release last year Planet 28 has been joined by two full expansions and a whole pile of additional content.
What makes Brutal Quest different?
While Brutal Quest is built off of the core planet 28 rule system, it has been designed to work better with a fantasy narrative whilst providing a more in depth, story focused system. among the changes present are a new set of core character skills, a non combat session between games, Out of game traits and abilities, a new host of weapons and a more in depth campaign system.
