Dragon Week Comes to Middle-earth With New Miniatures
OK, so an Easterling Black Dragon may not be an actual Dragon, but they’re still as tough and ferocious as their serpentine namesakes. In any case, let’s get on with showing you the upcoming Black Dragon miniatures in all their dark glory…
They certainly look menacing, that’s for sure, and with good reason – the warriors of the Dragon Cult are among the very deadliest in all of Rhûn. Yet despite the Black Dragons’ elite status in the armies of the Easterlings, they are in fact mere initiates of the Dragon Cult itself.
The cult’s shadowy masters will only select candidates from the most skilful Easterling fighters who’ve proven their killer instinct in battle time and again. This demanding selection process ensures that ranks of the Black Dragons are composed exclusively of veteran soldiers whose murderous prowess and stoic determination sets them apart on the battlefield. In essence, they’re Easterling special forces!
Those among the Black Dragons who excel above and beyond their peers will move on to begin their next stage of training as Dragon Cult Acolytes, where they will master the arts of speed, agility, and lethal grace. Only the most preternaturally gifted among them will rise to become Dragon Knights – the foremost bladesmen and most prolific killers of their order.
In the game, Black Dragons are represented by optional upgrades to Easterling Warriors, but considering that they gain +1 Fight value and +1 Courage, they’re a pretty tasty upgrade! If you’re looking to take the fight to Erebor when the Defence of the North supplement arrives, you’ll definitely want some Black Dragons to spearhead your infantry attack.

Endlich! Nach ewigen made to order Geschichten und dem hundertsten Charaktermodell mal wieder eine schöne Einheit. Gefällt mir sehr gut, mehr haben will.
sieht wieder nach Vertrieb über Forgeworld aus, oder?
Zumindest sehen diese HdR Minis mal vernünftig aus.

Wäre schön wenn GW die gesamte Reihe an Einheiten aus Plastik überarbeiten könnte, aber daran glaube ich leider nicht mehr…
Die normalen Ostlinge sind doch viel besser
Ich habe dieses Jahr gerade meine Ostlinge nach etlichen Jahren fertig gestellt – vermeintlich. Nun bringt FW die nächste Einheit für die heraus 😀 Die sehen aber sehr stark aus und werden ein Pflichtkauf. Habe aktuell FWs Mordororks auf dem Tisch und die sind ebenfalls sehr schöne Minis. Man liest ja im Netz oft auch Negatives über FWs Qualität, aber deren neue Minis können definitiv mit anderen Resinexperten wie ArtelW oder Wargames Exclusive mithalten – preislich aber bekanntlich auch ;).
