This is our second Kickstarter campaign for the Dragonbond: Battles of Valerna wargame, which we launched with the successful Allaria & Tyveria campaign here! As promised, here are the two other great powers of Valerna, ancestral Nahuac and blessed Ysval, ready to enter the fray!

Valerna is a continent filled with magic, powerful nations, great heroes and dragons. These forces fight to exert their own ideals in a land with no gods, where only mortals, and how they use their power, can decide the world’s fate.

Each realm in Valerna espouses different moral values, wields different magic, and uses different weapons and tactics. The Winner of the War is not only the strongest force, but also the one that better knows how to turn their philosophy into power, and their character into weapons.

The greatest of these champions are the Dragonbonded – leaders of the mortal armies who have joined their lives with those dragons, and whose actions are destined to reshape history.

You can enjoy all of this magic in our original Wargame, where special effects, upgrading dice and bonding with dragons can give the upper hand. In it, players build armies and challenge each other, acting and reacting to the events that unfold on the battlefield.

The battlefield is represented by a gaming table where both armies are deployed. Each side has different units, and the armies are unique; the final objective is to beat your opponent. Players deploy their armies and strategies, however, luck plays an important role, as the dice will ultimately decide the success of an attack or action.

Enter the world of Dragonbond, build an army like no other and use each unique part of your army to your advantage. Whether through decimation or the completion of special requirements, only one may be the victor.

Pledges:

Except for the base one-dollar pledge, every pledge, regardless of its tier, includes not only the rules to our game, but a primer of our factions and the world of Valerna. Higher tiers involve from one to four STL packs of our armies. Terrains, additional game components, returning armies and RPG adventures  are not only available on higher tiers, they are also individually available as add-ons.

Rewards:

The base rewards for this campaign are the armies of Nahuac and Ysval, ready to join the ever-expanding world of Valerna; however, this is also a chance to build your own armies of Allaria and Tyveria if you were unable in our previous campaign.

Nahuac

Built by the shape-shifting and humanoid animal peoples of Valerna, the Nahuinn coalition is a powerhouse made up of a vast array of cultures pulled together by their respect of the balance of nature. From the wise bendavee to the swift munkisoot and headstrong ocelinn, Nahuac and its people will prevail.

Ysval

Forged by the cold and a deep-rooted sense of collaboration and community, the Holy Ysvalian Alliance has made a fertile paradise of the unforgiving north of Valerna. Allied with the Hmyr giants and the good-life loving Pints, Ysvalians bring a strong, stern challenge to all on the battlefield.

The dream-shaping Allarian kingdom and the blood-centric Tyverian Empire return. This is one more chance to build your very own complete set of all armies of Valerna.

At Draco Studios and Lair we take our community seriously. And since we’re continuously growing, we want to take this chance to help the building.

Here’s what we have in mind.

• As soon as we reach one thousand (1000) backers, we’ll release the dragonriding form of our generals Erandi and Oryan.

• With twenty (20) pictures on social media of the printed bendavee available as a free sample, we’ll unlock our realm-unique terrains.

•  Fifty  (50) shares of our pinned post on facebook, will unlock very special STLs: our general’s pets.

This campaign is entirely digital. All files will be available both in your MyMiniFactory library and your LAIR library. We’ll have STLs and presupports for you to quick-print your armies. This will make our fulfillment faster than on physical rewards, albeit with its own due process.

3D-Druck:

A full 3D printable wargame experience!

With this first release of Dragonbond: Battles of Valerna you will be able to immerse yourself into the Dragonbond universe, this experience is possible because of 3D printing. If you are new to 3D printing and want to get a quickstart into the different technologies.

What you need to know is that with 3D printing you will be able to get everything you need to start playing at home, you will also be able to print multiple copies if you require more for your army, or even if you just want to try a different color scheme.

All our sculpts were made with 3D printing in mind. You should be able to get the most out of all our models in both FDM and Resin printing.Thanks to this technology you will be playing in no time, we have also taken care to add all the necessary accessories (such as dials, counters and tokens) needed to get the full experience we hope to achieve once the mass manufactured game is launched.

We strive for perfection and will update files and rules to make this game better every time we update it.
