Captain K – 4,00£
Who is Captain K??
It might be easier to explain who Captain K isn’t, rather than who he is – he’s not a character from the 2019 movie Jo Jo Rabbit. He shouldn’t be mistaken for the Nazi officer who trained Hitler Youth recruits and took part in the defence of ‘the city’ following the invasion of Soviet troops, whilst dressed in an elaborate homemade outfit. He certainly wouldn’t say “Today you boys will be involved in such activities as marching, bayonet drills, grenade throwing, trench digging, map reading, gas defence, camouflage, ambush techniques, war games, firing guns and blowing stuff up. The girls will practice important womanly duties such as dressing wounds, making beds and learning how to get pregnant.”
Lord Callan – 4,00£
“Grim-visag’d war hath smoothed his wrinkled front.”
Shakespeare, Richard III
To celebrate the release of Wars of the Roses rules Never Mind the Billhooks, Lord Callan is a must-have figure for all WotR enthusiasts. Oozing energy and martial prowess – just like the author of Never Mind the Billhooks of whom the figure is perhaps an ancestor – Lord Callan is modelled as a heavily armoured Billhook* wielding English knight of the Mid-Fifteenth Century. He will fight for the House of Lancaster or York and will assuredly lead any tabletop army to victory.
*Not ordinarily the weapon of choice for a knight – but Lord Callan is far from ordinary.
Sir Sid – 4,00£
This is a pre-order: This item is due to be released early September, any items ordered along with this figure will NOT be delivered until its release.
Based on Sid James’s character from Carry on Up the Khyber, Sir Sid is at home on Her Royal Britannic Majesty’s service anywhere in the British Empire. As the Governor of any far-flung province in the Empire Sir Sid will not shy away from his duty to queen and country. Having said that, he’s not stupid and when the going gets tough, he’s not afraid to get going.
