ALTER FINNE! Was für ein Release. Umfang, Varianz, Modularität. Das taugt auch für Mortheim und Warcry und ich werde da wirklich mal einkaufen müssen.
Oha. Höre da plötzlich so ein paar unheilige Stimmen rufen aus der Richtung meiner alten Mordheim-Platte…
Mir gefällt es auch echt gut, aber für unbedrucktes MDF empfinde ich es im Vergleich zu TT-Combat oder Warcradle als relativ teuer.
Oder ist das hier soviel qualitativ besser?
Zunächst: MDF wird in der Regel nicht bedruckt, sondern eingefärbt.
Die hier gezeigten Bausätze scheinen mir deutlich mehr Details eingraviert zu haben als durchschnittliche TTCombat-Bausätze (entsprechende höhere Laserzeit (Produktionszeit) und somit Kosten). Außerdem befinden sich manchmal auf beiden Seiten einer Mauer Details und Strukturen, entsprechend bestehen diese Wände entweder aus einer Außen- und Innenseite (bei TTCombat & Co. gibt’s nur Außenseiten) oder die Bauteile wurden auf 2 Seiten graviert, was von Produktionsablauf recht aufwändig wäre.
Zudem dürften Lizenzkosten an Osprey hinzukommen, damit es „offizielles Frostgrave-Gelände“ heißen darf.
Das Problem an ungefärbten MDF ist halt, dass da immer noch sehr viel Arbeit vor einem liegt und vor dem Hintergrund ist mir das hier auch zu teuer. Es mag nicht günstiger gehen, aber das ist es mir eben einfach nicht wert.
das ist auch mein problem, eingefärbt hätte ich sogar gern mehr für bezahlt,
ungefärbt bekomme ich auch Gelände aus den 3D drucker (ja Apfel/Birn vergleich aber beides ist Obst).
Geht mir genauso. Ich habe mehrere Gebäude von 4Ground. Die gefallen mir super, aber kosten im Vergleich nochmal 10-20% mehr. Hätte ich hier auch bezahlt, wenn sie eingefärbt gewesen.
Umgekehrt habe ich die Mühle von Warcradle… vom Detailgrad bestimmt deutlich niedriger, kostet aber auch ca. 50 % weniger als vergleichbare Gebäude hier.
So schick die Gebäude sind, im Vergleich zu beiden Konkurrenten für meinen Geschmack zu teuer.
So und ich muss mich hier mal outen…
Ich fange mit Frostgrave regeltechnisch absolut nix an!
Mehrmals hab ich es gespielt sogar durch 2 Kampagnen hab ich mich gequält…
Das spiel wirkt für mich zu glückslastig, Kämpfe empfinde ich als ewig lange und langatmig.
Und ich finde das Schade! Ich würde gerne das Spiel so begeistert aufnehmen wie andere aber der Funke will nicht überspringen.
Naja, kommt vor, dass man ein Regelsystem nicht mag. Ich kann mit Freebooter nichts anfangen, spielen hier aber einige, wäre also praktisch, wenn ich es gut fände.
Ist ja nicht schlimm. Schau dir sonst mal A Song of Blades and Heros an, vielleicht ist das eher dein System.
Geht mir zugegeben sogar ähnlich! Ich mag aber das Setting total, was aber wohl auch an meiner Retro-Romantik zu Mordheim liegen kann!
Fand Frostgrave auch furchtbar. Aber die Lösung ist einfach. Spielt Mortheim 🙂
Wobei das jetzt von der Mechanik her irgendwie Not gegen Elend ist, oder?
Mordheim war ein runterskaliertes WHFB und als Skirmish auch nur bedingt tauglich, aber man kannte ja nix anderes und hats gefeiert.
Wobei ich mir mit Blick auf Warcry sogar Mordheim wieder zurückwünschen würde.
Frostgrave ist extrem glückslastig und der Autor hat bestätigt, dass er seine Spiele eben so mag.
Also immerhin beabsichtigt, und wems gefällt… mir aber auch nicht…
Wir haben bei Frostgrave ganz gute Erfahrungen damit gemacht statt 1W20 zwei W10 zu werfen und zu addieren, das macht das ganze deutlich weniger zufällig.
Hatte mich gefragt, ob man sogar nur einen W10 nehmen könnte (bei zwei kriegt man ja wieder ne Verteilungskurve) 🤔
Aber lang nicht mehr die Regeln gelesen, ob das praktikabel wäre. Immerhin wärn dann Profilwerte wieder was wert.
Und genau die Verteilungskurve macht extreme Würde deutlich unwahrscheinlicher.

Also mir gefällt das Regelsystem von Frostgrave auch nicht. Ich hatte das Gefühl wieder DSA zu spielen. Wo man ja auch wegen Attacke und Parade immer nach dem Overkill Prinzip arbeiten muss. Ich hatte Spiele da haben sich 4-5 Runden lang alle Modelle bekämpft aber keiner hat überhaupt mal Schaden gemacht….
Aber wie oben schon steht es muss ja nicht jedes System für jeden passen. Aktuell spiele Ich mit den Kindern eine Kampagne nach den OnePageRules Age of Fantasy Skirmish Regeln. Das gefällt uns allen gerade recht gut. Viele Fraktionen, einfache Regeln und dauert nicht zu lange pro Spiel. Nur Missionen gibt es ein paar zu wenig. Da haben wir uns dann welche von Warcry geklaut. 🙂

Die Resin-Modelle sind wirklich super!
MDF ist als Material super für die Darstellung von Holzoberflächen wie z.B. Wildwest oder moderne amerikanische Gebäude geeignet, für Natursteinruinen ist mir trotz der Steingravuren die Oberfläche zu glatt. Hier müsste man zu viel Arbeit (Bemalung und/oder Texturieren) reinstecken, damit es realistisch wirkt. Die Studiobemalung ist ja sehr gut, aber wirklich gefallen tut es mir trotzdem nicht.
Das Gelände sieht doch ganz gut aus. Gefällt mir und ist sicher nicht nur für Frostgrave geeignet. Für das A Song of ICe an Fire Tabletop kann ich mir das bspw. auch sehr gut vorstellen.
MDF bin ich kein fan von aber der Resin-Gerümpel ist ganz nett.
Meine kleine Test bestellung wird heute Zugestellt und dann bin ich ja mal gespannt 🙂 Hab mir den Brunnen und die kleinen Ruinen bestellt für Elder Scrolls und Frostgrave und so
Ganz nett, aber halt immer noch (imo) viel zu deutlich sofort als MDF zu erkennen.
Dafür finde ich es dann auch deutlich zu teuer.
Persönlich hätte ich mich über Resin (oder natürlich Plastik) Gelände deutlich mehr gefreut. Schade. Die generellen Designs sind gut, aber der MDF-Look ist gar nicht meins und sieht immer irgendwie billig aus.
Finde ich super und wird angeschafft, in meinen Augen eine gute Mischung aus Spielbarkeit und Stil
Ich werde sicher einiges davon für meine Mortheim Platte besorgen.
Aufgepimpt mit etwas Styrodur gegen die MDF Flachheit und einigen Bits, wird das sicher super aussehen.
