Privateer Press setzt die Reihe der Conanfiguren im Mini-Crate Format fort: mit dem Erzschurken Thulsa Doom!
Privateer Press – Mini Thulsa Doom
Greetings, fellow social distancers! In this week’s Concept to Crate, we’ll be discussing the concept for Thulsa Doom. For the average Kull fan, we all know that Thulsa has had several different looks, and this one could’ve gone in any number of directions. In this particular instance, we opted to go with the Marvel Comics version of him from the 1970s, so I sent the appropriate reference to artist Carlos Cabrera, and he was off to the races.
Right out of the gate, we had a working concept, but something was missing. We could give him a dramatic pose, a weapon, or even a staff. Something exciting. In the end, we opted for a snake curled around his neck and down the length of his arm.
With the rough sketch in hand, we ran with it and sent to final.
And there you have it, another Savage MiniCrate miniature in the bag! One of our simplest, speediest ones. I hope you’ve enjoyed this peek at the concept art and that you’re all staying safe indoors. My best goes out to all you that might be reading this, and I look forward to sharing more concept art in the future.
