Trajanic Roman Equites Alares, moments after hit by a particle beam weapon during the alien invasion of Thrace in 135AD.That, or one of three dollies for Roman cavalry for Khurasan’s heroic 15mm Early Imperial Roman range??? You, the reader, must decide!
15mm landsknecht officers — a young noble and a grizzled veteran who has killed his way to the top. The last set of our Landsknechts is done and we hope to have them soon.
Next batch of 15mm Mongols will be the subject infantry. These were best illustrated on the mongol invasion scrolls prepared in Japan but as they were not annotated we don’t know *precisely* who these fellows are. There are two basic types illustrated — infantry with extensive hooded head covering, and infantry with brass or bronze helmets which had a plume on top, wings or plumes on the sides, and a bit of animal skin on the front. Here are the latter, both spear/polearm types and archers. These have been tentatively associated with the “newly adhered army” of former Southern Sung Chinese. The spearmen will also be available with portable pavises which can be carried by the spearmen or set up as standalone pavises as you prefer. We’ll preview the other infantry, often described as Koreans, shortly.
