Storm / Thunder Wagon – 15,49 Euro
The Resistance have always proven themselves nothing if not inventive. If a problem presents itself, they will adapt, avoid, adjust…or smash it to pieces. Wagons are prime example of their resourcefulness, taking old civilian vehicles and turning them into deadly gun platforms. Though wagons can be made from anything, only the larger chassis of vehicles will mount the weapons required, which makes them a fairly important resource.
The Storm Wagon is the most varied in design of all wagons, taking the concept of improvised munitions to its fullest extent. In essence, the storm wagon straps a massive quantity of unguided rockets (from different sources) to a traversable mount on the rear of the vehicle. These are unleashed in a rapid fire, barely controlled salvo of screaming destruction, usually in an arcing trajectory allowing the base vehicle to operate safely from cover. Although their munitions are slow, they can overwhelm countermeasures by sheer quantity, increasing their effective range when multiple units fire as a battery.
The Thunder Wagon is a clear example of the ‘Smash it to Pieces’ problem solving strategy. They take position behind the front line, co-ordinate with forward scouts and then deploy their Golgotha Missiles one at a time, causing untold havoc to the enemy. Golgotha missiles are unsubtle weapons of destruction, tipped with heavy armour plating and packed with explosives. Even the most effective countermeasures are little proof against the weight of a Golgotha Missile, which spreads death and destruction over a wide area even if detonated before impact.
If you’re a Resistance commander, you know all about Wagons. The humble Gun Wagon is a fantastic Standard choice, and the Flame Wagon causes untold damage to enemy infantry. The Storm and Thunder Wagons take the same chassis as these classics. While they have low armour and no counter-measures, their extra damage point is always handy, and the Resilient special rule means that even if they get hit with a Critical they’re only taking one point of damage. Doesn’t matter how many panels you blow off a wagon, it’ll keep on going!
Storm Wagons do exactly what they look like they do. With 2 shots of Energy 10 weapons each, they can target opponents they can’t see thanks to the Indirect special rule. With a decent range they’ll be able to target a lot of the battlefield, especially if you use a Scout unit like Gun Technicals or Freeriders to help them aim. Oh and you can take them in squads of twelve which quite frankly is ludicrous and should definitely be done just to watch your opponent’s face.
Thunder Wagons are a bit more measured a unit, since they trade their multiple shot weapons for a single large missile. Use it wisely! Although with Energy 11, Devastator-2 against scenery, and a blast marker when they land, „wisely“ can pretty much be any target you want utterly annihilated! With a massive Countered range of 36″, not much will be safe from a squad of these. The real question is whether you shoot them all at once or not!
Contains 3 resin miniatures with a choice to make 3 Storm Wagons or 3 Thunder Wagons. These miniatures are highly detailed, approximately 45mm in length. There are multiple styles of Wagon, and the contents of your pack may vary from those shown.
Resin miniatures supplied unpainted and unassembled. This kit will require cleaning and assembly, and could need some small holes filled.
Tarantula / Birdeater Battlestrider – 15,49 Euro
Battlestriders are smaller, more agile versions of the towering Warstriders. They feature anti-grav assistors and clamps on their legs and feet, allowing them to climb sheer surfaces to attack from above! These factors – coupled with increased survivability over most Shaltari grav-tanks – makes Battlestriders highly popular with less subtle Warchiefs who would prefer to crush their opponents than out-manoeuvre them.
The Tarantula’s primary armament is the highly advanced Gravatic Magnifier (also known simply as the Grav-Cannon). This weapon delivers crushing force to anything with mass – the larger and heavier the target, the more devastating its effect!
The Birdeater is an anti-air Battlestrider, armed with the familiar and lethal twin ion-cannon. It often employs its climbing abilities to gain a commanding view of the battlefield – a highly useful ability for an anti-air unit. Since it is less agile than the Kukri, it is better suited to more static defensive roles, where its superior survivability makes it a favourite of the Shaltari Warchiefs who favour heavier units.
The Battlestrider is a ubiquitous chassis in a Shaltari army, particularly if you like your units to be able to take a bit of punishment. With Armour 13 and 2 Damage Points, this is one walker that won’t quit – and that’s if you get through its standard Shaltari 5+ Passive save. Battlestriders also have the unique ability to climb scenery pieces, getting to the top of a structure with no problem, able to make the best use of great firing lines.
A Tarantula is a Standard choice in a Shaltari army, so you can take loads of them! Its Gravity Cannon is Energy 11 and has Devastator-2 against Tanks and Walkers, which already makes it a very useful weapon. However, the the bigger the target, the more gravity there is on it (it’s science), so anything with the Large special rule gets hit with Devastator-3 instead!
Meanwhile the Birdeater variant swaps its main armament for the classic Twin Ion Cannons. Equally as good at anti-air firepower as its Kukri cousin, the Birdeater provides an extremely stable chassis for your AA squad. These walkers will be particular thorns in the side of your opponents!
Contains 2 resin miniatures with a choice to make 2 Tarantulas or 2 Birdeaters. These miniatures are highly detailed, approximately 50mm in length.

Sabre / Rapier – 15,49 Euro
The Sabre is the primary main battle tank of the UCM, and forms the core of its armoured spearhead. It is a lightweight, low profile design which mounts a formidable UM-100 ‚Avenger‘ Railgun on a folding turret armature. This makes the vehicle eminently suitable for dropship operations, as well as highly flexible on the battlefield. The gun can be raised to a height of 9.8 feet (centre-bore), giving the Sabre the ability to fire over obstructions while keeping the hull in cover.
The Rapier utilises the Sabre-type hull to mount a fearsome UM-28 ‚Vindicator‘ Gatling cannon on a similar folding turret armature. This makes the Rapier an excellent anti-air unit, where the rapid traverse of its turret system can track fast moving aircraft with ease, while sending a hail of shells towards its target. The Rapier can also turn the Vindicator on massed infantry formations firing in ‚wide burst‘ mode, causing unbelievable carnage.
Is there anything more Dropzone than UCM tanks? The sleek design with an armature weapon tells you everything you need to know about the UCM. The tanks are relatively light, with only a single crew member. The Colonials really know how to make the most of their fighting force! With Armour 15 these tanks are some of hardiest units in the game, perfect for UCM!
What can we say about Sabres that hasn’t been said already? We’ll just say it all again! Sabres are great. High armour, decent move, cheap points, and an awesome weapon. The Avenger Railgun is Energy 10, Articulated to fire from behind cover, and has great range and Accuracy. The Sabre is the bread and butter of the UCM army.
Even though they’re Support options, Rapiers might even be more numerous than the humble Sabre! With a fantastic AA weapon in the Vindicator gatling cannon, you’ll want a bunch of these in your army. Its 3 shots at Energy 7 will make most aircraft fly very carefully to avoid, and its Wide mode of fire can tear through infantry – even those hiding against edges of terrain!
Contains 3 resin miniatures with a choice to make 3 Sabres or 3 Rapiers. These miniatures are highly detailed, approximately 34mm in length.
Resin miniatures supplied unpainted and unassembled. This kit will require cleaning and assembly, and could need some small holes filled.
