Battlefront 2020 Preview

As we prepare for our Christmas break it’s that time of year again to let you know what to look forward to in the New Year.

2019 has been a massive year for us here at Battlefront. We’ve kicked off the Late War journey with three books, we’ve run a wildly successful Hobby League and a Global Campaign, published a number of Mid War supplements, and of course delivered WWIII: Team Yankee in a brand new rule book.

2020 is going to be even bigger with a massive list of releases walking out the door from February.

D-Day British
Flames Of War will continue the Late War Journey through 2020 starting with the release of D-Day: British with its range of new releases.

New plastic British Paratrooper sculpts will be the first to arrive with D-Day: British to land behind enemy lines and support the D-Day invasion.

Also coming with D-Day: British is a collection of plastic kits for your British Force including plastic kits of:

• Dingo
• Daimler
• Crusader AA

Also coming with D-Day: British is a collection of plastic kits for your British Force including plastic Dingo, Daimler, and Crusader AA plastic kits as well as the reintroduction of some favourites like the Cromwell plastic kit.

We also have a cardboard bocage set on the way for release with D-Day: British in the same vein as the D-Day: American beach landing set. With 27 feet of bocage in an A4 size box, this Bocage set is going to make Normandy battles easier than ever.

Bagration
After D-Day, we will be throwing our efforts into Bagration. A lot of work has already gone into the first two of three Bagration books, Bagration: Soviet, which releases first, followed by Bagration: German.

The Bagration series of books will come with new releases like plastic

• Panzer IV/70
• BA 64
• Hetzer
• SU- 76

Our city ruins kit will hit the battlefield as Budapest ruins for one of the most pivotal and destructive battles of Operation Bagration.

Continuing with the terrain theme, Bagration will have its own Cardboard terrain pack release focussing on the famous bagration river crossings and defences.

The third book in Bagration will cover Axis Allies.

Mid War
In 2019 we released some mid war booklets, and 2020 will be no different. To finish the trio of airborne force booklets, we will be dropping a British Paratrooper and Commando Mid War.

With Bagration starting in 2020, we will also be releasing a trio of Mid War Axis Allies supplements starting with the Finnish.

WWIII: Team Yankee New Starter Set

After the release of the new WWIII: Team Yankee rulebook, 2020 will be packed full of WWIII releases.

Some key general releases for WWIII: Team Yankee include a new series of plastic aircraft releases in association with Revell, and a new starter set in the style of Hit the Beach, called WWIII: The Complete Starter Set,  with Abrams tanks and T-80s.

Specially made terrain pieces, metal and resin kits of both the Chinook and HIP, will be available in 2020 to add a little more flavour to your battlefield.

WWIII: British
The first book out the door will be WWIII: British with its roster of plastic kits:

• Challenger
• Warrior
• Fox
• MRLS
• M109

WWIII: American
WWIII: American will be the second release for WWIII: Team Yankee and will come with its range of plastic kits:

• M1A1HC Abrams
• M2/M3 Bradley
• AH64 Apache

WWIII: Soviet
Soviet releases will wrap up the year with a lot of cool kits for red players to look forward too like the

• Tunguska
• TOS-1
• BM-27
• T-80
• BMP-3.

 

Warsaw Pact Combined
Polish, East German, and Czechoslovak forces will be combined into one Warsaw Pact book.
