Victrix: Gründet Victrix Games
Victrix Limited machen nun auch Spiele über das Unternehmen Victrix Games.
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
We’re excited to announce the we have set up a new company called VICTRIX GAMES.
This is a subsidiary company of Victrix Limited and will be focused on bringing you fully functional gaming systems as well as high quality vehicles and figures to use in these games.

Our first launch is a 12MM WORLD WAR II GAMING SYSTEM. We have chosen 12mm as it allows gaming on a 1:1 scale for all vehicles and figures. By ensuring that 1 vehicle/figure represents 1 vehicle/figure in real, life, it gives the game a more authentic feel, with the attritional nature of war being ever present in the gamers‘ mind. 12mm allows for realistic scale actions even on a small 6ft by 4ft gaming table without the battle looking overcrowded and unrealistic. You decide how big or small you want the game to be. Our figures will also be compatible with most 10mm ranges.
This first theatre will be based on Normandy 1944. It includes separate British, German and American forces. The game is predominantly a tank and infantry-based system but will also include rules for ground attack aircraft. Other theatres currently being developed include North Africa and the Eastern Front.
The system is based around a set of core rules which is scheduled to be released in late 2020. However, for those already keen to get their hands on VICTRIX GAMES’ products, you’ll be glad to hear that in the meantime we will be releasing several vehicle and figure sets based on the Normandy 1944 theatre. You can expect these to be available in early 2020.

Thanks to the use of smaller cutting tools, we have really been able to accommodate the finer details of the tanks. You’ll notice that these vehicles have even sharper details than some larger scale models.

Ja, sie wollen ihre Modelle in einem absolut übersättigtem Markt verkaufen, aber ich brauch nicht noch nen neuen Maßstab mit neuem Gelände.
Und je kleiner der Maßstab, desto krasser der Unterschied – dass ihre Figuren mit 10mm (was nun meines Wissens nicht mal verbreitet und damit für viele hilfreich wäre) kompatibel seien, halte ich für gewagt, weil das schon 20% sind.
Dachte auch erst, dass das ein Witz sein soll. Aber da der Markt in dem Segment WW2 total überlaufen ist, macht es ja Sinn, da ne eigene Firma für zu gründen.
Leider auch mein Gedanke… Hoffe das wird nicht wieder so eine Pleite wie die Flugzeuge damals…
Keine Frage, die 12mm Panzer werden qualitativ gut, aber Victrix steuert wiedermal an den Käufern vorbei. Ich hoffe sowas bricht ihnen nicht irgendwann das Genick. Ich mag die 28mm Figuren sehr!
Gerade da hätten sie was zu tun. Die Perrys und Warlord reiten denen gerade mit napoleonischer Kavallerie der Ösis /Preußen weg und Wargamer Atlantic wird sicher schneller sein mit drr persischen Infanterie. Da hat Victrix bisher nur eine Zeichnung fertig.
Naja, Wargamer Atlantic macht ja eher mindest Bausätze mit schlechter Qualität und historisch korrekt sind sie auch nicht. Siehe Hoplons… leckomio!
Und bei Nap machen sie etwas, dass die anderen Firmen nicht haben: polnische Lanciers. Aus dem Bausatz kann man auch bisschen mehr basteln, sehen wir mal.
Wieso „wieder“? Würde mich interessieren. Victrix hat damals die Plastikmärkte erschlossen. Ja, die Nap Sachen war vor Perries da 😉
Na toll- wieder WW2-Panzer. Und was ist das für nen Maßstab: 12mm?? Das ist doch nicht 1:100, oder?
Aber naja, Konkurrenz belebt das Geschäft. Auch wenn mir ModernWar o.ä. weit lieber gewesen wäre…
1:100 ist 15mm, also was u. a. Battlefront, Forged in Battle und PSC machen.
Von PSC kommt demnächst Battlegroup NORTHAG in 10mm für Cold War gone hot.

So blöd finde ich den Maßstab gar nicht. Das ist 1:144. mal sehen wie die fertigen Modelle aussehen.
12mm ist nicht so selten wie man denken mag. Es gibt einiges in dem Bereich. Frage ist eher warum WW2?
Es gibt keinen volleren Mark.
Aber mal gucken. Mir wäre auch lieber sie gehen eine Partnerschaft mit einem Etabliertem Regelschreiber ein, als neue eigene Spiele zu machen.
Ich würde mal vermuten, dass sich WWII immer wie geschnitten Brot verkauft, sonst kann ich mir das auch nicht erklären, da einzusteigen.
Ich haue jetzt auch mal ein bisschen Kaffeesatzleserei rein und sage, dass sie mit 12mm einfach einen etwas kleineren Maßstab wählen, weil man da dann auf der Platte sehr viel mehr Platz erzeugen kann. Bei Team Yankee (und vielleicht auch FoW, welches ich aber nicht kenne, sich aber ähnelt), wird das da recht schnell voll und eng. Mit 12mm ist man halt noch halbwegs groß genug um einzelne Modelle abzubilden.
Vielleicht schielen sie auch auf die Modellbauer, die mit 1:144 mehr anfangen können, als mit 1:100. 1:144 ist zudem recht nah an der Modelleisenbahngröße N (1:160) dran.
